I was looking for sushi that I could bring back to my hotel (parent life), and this was the second place I tried. I was so excited to be greeted with "yes, we can do take out" and recommendations on what to order (the menu is in Japanese). The sushi was hands down the best I've ever had, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Server was rude and we could see the difference between his treatment towards us and the locals. Menu was fully in Japanese, and he did not try to guide us, so we had some trouble deciding what to order and the reality did not meet the expectations. We also tried to call another staff over but he just ignored us and made eye contact over the counter after. Food was decent, nothing extraordinary.

This place allows smoking inside, which is not mentioned anywhere in English. The more subtle, lighter tastes are lost to the smoke, even when no one is smoking. There is no English menu available either. The staff does their best to help, but it is still difficult if you're particular about your food. The helper (wakiitaa) seems to be relatively fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Their staff members are friendly and does their best. Their sushi-zu seems to be on the sweet side, but the rice blocks for nigiri was served cold and allowed to set and harden slightly. Very casual and cozy atmosphere, it seems like a good place to snack and drink with friends, not a good place for dates or business. Get the fatty tuna, scallop, and baby octopus, skip the uni, it's got a slight bitter after-taste.
