The sushi was absolutely delicious, and the place felt very authentic and typical. Even though the restaurant is very small, we didn’t have to wait too long before getting seated. The atmosphere was really nice, and seeing the little grandmas doing the dishes was honestly so cute and charming. The only downside was the girl taking our order, she was quite rude. She wanted us to pay very quickly, even before we sat down, and she kept rushing us with hand gestures. We didn’t really appreciate that…

June.7.2026 1:00pm I always thought sea urchin is suppose to taste rich and creamy..I took a few bites, most of them were quite bitter, so I handed over to my friend who said it tasted fine... I wouldn't recommend having sea urchin here unless one prefers bitter sea urchin... every other dish was great! The water can splash over when they are washing things at times... Good seafood restaurant, but there are many places nearby, so I wouldn't recommend coming here!

Tour guide brought us here. Amazing sushi for very low cost, and great service. The kind of place a tourist would struggle to find. Highly recommended

A nostalgic and wonderful revisit! Revisited Taneichi after about 16 years, this time with my family, and it brought back so many memories ❤️ I believe the same elderly lady is still working there, which makes it feel truly family-owned and authentic, not overly commercial like some places on the busier streets. Prices are great and very worth it 👍 The kaisendon rice bowl was delicious, and the sashimi was very fresh 🐟🍚 While it’s not the most comfortable place to sit, it’s indoors, away from the crowd, and protected from wind and rain — which we really appreciated. My family had a great time, and I’d definitely recommend this place! 😊
