This is not a restaurant! Prepare to pay a bit more and wait a long time if you are hungry or want to get fed with small portions of bar food, which is what I did, with no regrets. I maybe wouldn’t do something like this again. Cash only! The serving language is Japanese only. If you are ok with that, then : a tapas bar, with no Japanese sake. Only beer, wine, sparkling and other stuff, Delicious food, and fresh ingredients from the whole of Japan. Menu updates every season and every day. The chef is talkative and friendly not seems to be crowded during weekdays.
View on GoogleAn absolute gem! definitely a must-go every time I go to Tokyo! Unlike other shops on this street. Tamatomi offers a sort of western fusion tapas that are made with the freshest seafood the chef purchased himself in the morning! (I’ve seen him biking in the morning to buy fish 🤣) This time around, I ordered: White fish carpaccio Fried oyster Grilled scallop lips and the most amazing fish (with white sauce) dish I’ve ever tasted!! Super chill environment Around 10 seats available I highly recommend this tapas bar! *note: no English menu offered and the chef speaks limited English so please have your google translate app out and ready! It’s worth it :)
View on GoogleThe best of Tsukiji! Very impressed. Feels like a blend of italian, spanish and ofcourse Japanese gastronomy. The Ajillo & tuna carpaccio, soo good. Bravo! 5 stars! If I could rate it higher, I would!
View on GoogleTo note - Japanese service only and freshly made, so not fast if that’s what you’re looking for. But one of the best places I’ve eaten since moving to Japan a month ago. The oyster is amazing but go with the owner’s recommendations as the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere with counter seating and jazz playing.
