Had a great meal last year so went back while in town. Omakase course gives you several small dishes followed by various sushi, all fresh, delicate and in season. Clean simple deco and attentive service, all for a reasonable sum for the value. Highly recommended. They can pair lovely select sakes with the courses.
View on GoogleExcellent sushi in a very intimate setting. Would recommend to anyone. Suggest you ask the master to pair the sushi with sake accordingly, we worked through the whole selection. Excellent.
View on GoogleAn Edomae sushi restaurant with counter seating only. It has been quietly operating in Kodenmacho for many years. The omakase takes a full 3 hours, from meticulously prepared small dishes to nigiri—a delight for the taste buds. The chef, Suzuki, has a lovely personality and will carefully explain the sushi and dishes if you ask. The sake selection is good too, so I always leave it to him. Even the gari and cucumber palate cleansers are delicious and enough to keep the drinks flowing, while the small dishes and nigiri are, of course, excellent. Firm vinegared rice, carefully prepared fish, aromas rising through your nose—irresistible. Eating and drinking plenty comes to about 2.5万 per person. If this place were in Ginza, I'd be satisfied with the quality even at more than twice the price. It's a grounded sushi restaurant, the opposite of today's photogenic sushi spots, so I recommend it to anyone who wants proper sushi. I'd like to return in a different season.
View on GoogleA renowned sushi restaurant. Reasonably priced for an omakase sushi restaurant of this caliber. The sushi with red-vinegar rice is exquisite. The dishes other than nigiri also taste wonderful. They stock good sake too. Reservations are, of course, necessary. There's a maneki-neko inside, and they even leave out bonito flakes as food for it.
View on GoogleI had a wonderful time. All I can say is that this place is incredible. I rarely get the chance to visit somewhere this good, so I enjoyed it to the fullest. Every piece of nigiri was wonderful. All the drinks were delicious too.
