This is the best sushi and experience I’ve had in all of Japan. I stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch one day and came back for lunch a few days later and then again for dinner a few days later. Chef Yusuke is amazing in terms of his abilities as a chef and the hospitality delivered. When I came the first time I asked about unagi and he gave me a recommendation in the area and I told him uni is my favorite. When he knew I was returning for dinner, he prepared an unagi dish and two uni dishes! It was so incredible of him to deliver this type of experience for us and it was so special. Although I speak no Japanese and he speaks a little English, we used Google Translate and had wonderful conversations. I can’t wait to come back again. If you are in the area, this is a must try - Either for the lunch nigiri set or book ahead for the dinner omakase experience! The prices were quite reasonable as well!

I just learned that the wonderful man who cooked for us is named Higuchi. Higuchi-san truly made the whole experience unforgettable. We started with the best sake we’ve ever tried while watching him skillfully prepare our meal, and then — voilà — the dishes tasted absolutely heavenly. He also shared a glimpse of Japanese culture with us, and we were so grateful to have found such a special place to spend our afternoon. My highest recommendations!

Chef Higuchi served up delicious nigiri sushi. Atmosphere was nice and friendly along with great service.

We had an incredible omakase experience here! Every piece of sushi was beautifully prepared, but the tuna in particular was unforgettable — melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The fish was incredibly fresh, and we had several real wow moments throughout the meal. The chef was so kind and welcoming. He didn’t speak much English, but he used a translator app to chat with us, which made the experience even more personal and heartwarming. You could really feel his pride and passion in every bite. A truly special lunch, highly recommended if you want an authentic, intimate sushi experience in Japan.
