Really enjoyed the soba here. They have lunch sets during the day and an à la carte menu for dinner. The noodles had a great chewy texture and tasted really fresh, while the dipping sauce was perfectly balanced. The tempura was light and crisp. Very well prepared overall.
View on GoogleThe service here was outstanding. They were able to communicate basic English to explain the menu and were very polite throughout the whole dinner, even refilling water without being asked, which most Japanese places don’t do from our experience. We got the duck soba and sesame soba, both of which were really good. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed at around 9:30pm when we were there. Not sure how loud it gets during busier hours though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes soba or wants to try it. As a tourist, it was a nice change of pace from the usual tourist foods like ramen, fried food, and sushi.
View on GoogleThe (cold) soba was perfect-the perfect bite and flavor. The gentleman host was so helpful with my limited English. Thank you PaolofromTokyo (YouTube) for recommending this place. Only downside was the tempura... a bit too oily for me.
View on GoogleSplendid food and service. We got 2 different duck dishes, one with warm and one with chilled soba noodles. We got to try assorted tempura which was delightful. Drinks, cola and plum wine, quality flavor. Definitely recommend going. We went at lunch time and waited 30 minutes for seats. Note: The bill is charged in cash only!
View on GoogleI discovered this soba restaurant through Instagram, where people highlighted its unique points, such as soba made by a woman and heart-shaped soba. However, when I visited, I didn’t see either of those things, so I'm not sure if it's always the case. The staff were friendly, and the soba tasted okay, but I felt it was a bit expensive for what it was. The restaurant itself had a beautiful Japanese vibe, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal in a traditional setting. That said, I couldn’t quite figure out what makes this place stand out from other soba restaurants. Maybe I missed something, but from my experience, it felt like a standard soba place with a slightly higher price tag.
