Jan 15, 2026 Soup curry here had a light taste so it wouldn’t leave you bloated or make you feel too fatty. I got a ¥1,500 chicken curry with 8 kinds of veggies and a soft boiled egg. Got the tonkotsu soup, and while I expected it to be heavy like the typical ramen broth, it wasn’t at all (or even a bit light for me, I wish it’d been a bit more flavorful and punchy in taste, even when not spicy). Soft and juicy chicken. Volume was ok-ish and left me 80% full. My friend got a pork, chicken thigh and chicken ball curry for ¥2,100. Service was impeccable though. My friend entered when the table for 2 right near the entrance was open, but I wanted to move inside to be warmer and quiet and the middle-aged male staff cleaned that inner table promptly for us. He was very hardworking and attentive and made the experience comfortable. Small store with around < 15 seats. Got in immediately at 6:40pm on a Thursday, but when we left before 8pm there was a long line outside. I thought the food was decent so I wouldn’t line up for it, but the staff was truly very nice.

A must-visit every time I'm in Tokyo. Their soup curry is pure comfort in a bowl. The chicken at lunch is stewed to perfection, and the limited dinner seafood curry is mind-blowing. The service is so warm and welcoming. I hope this gem stays around forever! ❤️

Ordered the soup curry with crispy cheese. It’s one of their recommended menu item. You can customise the level of spiciness of your soup curry. Even though the restaurant does not have many seating spaces and you need to navigate a narrow steep staircase climb to the second floor, the good tasty food is definitely worth coming back.

The soup curry is quite interesting, the soup is very flavourful but there isn't a lot of meat. The grilled cheese was quite literally grilled cheese (not sure what I was expecting). They provide a free salad which was nice.

PayPay, card and cash. Stepping into Dominica Soup Curry is like embracing an old friend you haven’t seen in years, and discovering they are just as warm and inviting as you remember. After a hiatus of 5.5 years, the soup curry’s robust broth greets me with its familiar karai embrace, the perfect level of spice that warms without overwhelming. The broth, a rich tapestry of flavors, melds the earthiness of its original recipe with the fresh snap of vibrant veggies. Each spoonful is a journey through a well-tended garden of taste. The accompanying rice, a fluffy bed for the sprinkling of crispy fried onions, offers a crunchy contrast to the smoothness of the curry. Those onions are not just a garnish but a necessity, their slight sweetness and crackle elevating the dish from mere comfort to culinary delight. The bowl before me is a still life of comfort food: a perfectly soft-boiled egg, the yolk rich and inviting; tender morsels of chicken that yield effortlessly to the spoon; and baby corn and other vegetables peeking out from the golden-hued curry, promising a bite that’s as nutritious as it is delicious. The experience at Dominica Soup Curry remains, as ever, a delightful sojourn into the world of spice and warmth. A must-visit for anyone seeking the soulful embrace of a meal made with care and served with a side of nostalgia. ***** old review ***** Amazing & Spicy. Dare yourself to get the levels after 5-6. While the original soup base is fantastic and nicely flavoured, today I tried the pork base soup. The pork base soup curry has a thick texture with a lasting taste to it. Add a spice level of about 6-7 and it will stick to your mouth. The broccoli well dipped into that soups has an amazing taste to it.
