A Chinese restaurant about 5 minutes from Kodenmacho Station. The restaurant occupies an entire basement floor, so it's quite spacious and can easily accommodate large groups. You can have ramen or Chinese set meals for around 800〜1000 yen. This time I ordered 青椒肉絲(チンジャオロース). There are plenty of green peppers, while the meat and bamboo shoots are a little sparse, but the portion is huge. Unless you say otherwise, the rice arrives in a very large serving, so light eaters and women are advised to ask for less in advance. Because it's affordable and generously portioned, it gets very busy at lunchtime with office workers from Kodenmacho and Ningyocho. You may have to queue after 12, so I recommend coming early. Ryūmon in Kodenmacho offers tasty neighborhood Chinese food at great value. If you want Chinese for lunch in the Kodenmacho area, I recommend this place. Thank you for the meal! Stir-fried eggs with pork and wood ear mushrooms 850 yen A very generous portion! Above all, the eggs are fluffy and delicious! Recommended! Return visit Taiwan ramen with half-size fried rice set, 900 yen The noodles come in a very large portion, making this a filling Chinese lunch. The Taiwan ramen isn't too spicy and has a perfectly balanced flavor, making it more satisfying than the price suggests. The fried rice has a simple flavor. The rice grains were nicely separated and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I had black vinegar sweet-and-sour pork for lunch, but it was too sour. 2026/03/18 Return visit I ordered the tantanmen set, but it had neither sesame aroma nor spiciness. I've tried tantanmen at many places, but this didn't suit my taste at all. If I were told this is what tantanmen tastes like, I'd probably never eat tantanmen again.

I had lunch here. The lunch was around 1000 yen and delicious. Although the restaurant is spacious, it fills up at lunchtime.

It's a basement restaurant, but it's very spacious inside. There is seating for 6 or 8 people, so workers from the area come in large groups. They accept PayPay and other payment methods, which actually makes the checkout busy. The lunch menu is extensive, making it hard to decide what to order. I also thought being able to order on a tablet was convenient and prevented mistakes!!

For this weekday lunch, I went to a mainland Chinese-style restaurant for the first time in a while. Located in a back alley in Nihonbashi Odenmacho, this is a fairly large place with 90 seats, so despite being on basement level 1 with no windows, it doesn't feel confined. Black tables line the large dining area in neat rows, an impressive sight. There's also a large-screen TV near the entrance. I visited around 12:30 during peak time, but there was still plenty of room to sit down. Noodle-and-rice sets seemed popular at lunch, but this time I ordered the 『青椒肉絲定食(800円)』. Lunch in central Tokyo has recently come to cost around 1,000 yen as standard, so it's a real pleasure to still find prices in the 800-yen range. The main dish, 青椒肉絲, arrived quickly in about 5,6 minutes and was quite generously portioned. It seemed to use pork rather than beef, but the green peppers were wonderfully crisp, with an excellent bite. There were plenty of thinly sliced bamboo shoots too, and I was happy that overall there were more vegetables than meat. They seem to blend their own seasonings into the usual oyster sauce, and it's delicious! The firmly cooked rice is nice too. On the other hand, the accompanying zha cai, egg soup, and almond tofu were merely token extras (^_^;). I suppose that can't be helped. The main dish is delicious, so it doesn't bother me much. The dining area is very clean, including around the tables. The service is very much Chinese-style, but it's just a little rough, certainly not unfriendly (^_^;). There are many mainland Chinese-style restaurants scattered around here, but this one is my top recommendation.
