We were feeling a little peckish in the late afternoon and were planning to do some grocery shopping at the new Summit at LaLa Terrace. We thought we'd try the Royal Host here for a quick lunch. A well-known chain that is priced on the higher end vs. the competition (they position themselves as a more premium option over Jonathan's or Saizeriya), the menu and selection is quite broad and the quality of our food order was quite high. We really enjoyed our curry rice and omurice. Fries were a little under seasoned but their signature onion soup was disappointing as the serving size was quite small for the price. Either way, would recommend if you're looking for a higher quality Japanese diner experience offering comfort yoshoku (Japanese-influenced Western food).
View on GoogleI was torn between this and the Volks at Triton, and came here, entering a little before 12. It was empty and the seats never filled up even as time went on, yet due to a staff shortage it took a long time from ordering to being served. The staff also gave off a vibe that made them hard to approach, and the tablet ordering left me somewhat dissatisfied too. I ordered the chicken steak the lady next to me was eating, and it was delicious; she had the set that came with a little dessert and a drink. If I'd had time, I would have liked to try the melon dessert that had just launched. By the way, sorry for comparing, but Volks had plenty of staff, and even when it was full, the service and atmosphere were good.
View on GoogleI went to the Royal Host at "LaLa Terrace Harumi," located inside "Harumi Flag," the former Tokyo Olympic Athletes' Village, about a 15-minute walk from Kachidoki Station. It's a bit of a distance from the station, but if you take the BRT from Shimbashi or Toranomon Hills, or the Toei bus from Ginza, access is surprisingly smooth. Perhaps because residents recently started moving into the last tower condominium sold at Harumi Flag, it was quite crowded even at lunchtime on a weekday. It was nearly full, and you could really feel the energy of the whole area. This time I had the "Western Lunch" for 1,133 yen. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays it's a chicken cutlet set, served with rice or bread. It's quite reasonably priced among Royal Host's menu items. As for the taste, it's good and the quality is more than enough for a family restaurant. But honestly, maybe because my impression of Royal Host's superb hamburg steak, curry, and doria is so strong, I felt it was slightly lacking. A reasonable lunch like this is nice once in a while, but if you're making the trip to Royho, next time it might be more satisfying to stretch the budget to around 2,000 yen and enjoy their signature dishes.
View on GoogleThis place is now "below a fine-dining restaurant, above a family restaurant" ① The openness and location unique to HARUMI FLAG → Highlights "a relaxed spaciousness you wouldn't expect in central Tokyo" ② Royho's consistent quality + a touch of luxury → Just right for "a slightly special day" ③ The clientele is calm, making it easy to use → Works for dates, meetings, and solo time too
View on GoogleWe needed a meal for a large group, and they accommodated us with takeout. It was bento-style, and there weren't many menu items, but the lineup, like the hamburg steak, was easy to eat and easy to choose from, and there were kids' options that looked delicious too. Since they aren't pre-made but made after you order, I think you need to be considerate of lunchtime and the fact that it's a busy restaurant. It's best to order with some time to spare. Each one was made with care, and since it was a gathering with people dear to us, everyone who attended was able to enjoy a satisfying, good meal. There are few casual restaurants around here, the Saizeriya in Harumi and the Denny's in Kachidoki and Tsukiji have closed too, leaving only Triton and LaLa Terrace,, We should cherish the shops in this new town. The restaurant itself doesn't have many seats, but it's clean and the staff serve briskly, so you can dine comfortably. Even though it's a chain, I think Royal Host is truly a Japanese family restaurant that works hard. When you travel abroad or to the countryside, you see shops loved by the locals, and I felt that a shop is built not only by its staff but together with the people of that place. I really hope this Royal Host in Tokyo's new town lasts for a long time. If it ends up with lots of nouveau-riche customers who do nothing but complain nastily, the staff lose motivation, overall morale drops, shops keep changing, and Harumi Flag becomes an unpleasant place with a mall like a ruin, wouldn't that lower the value of the town? There's another review about putting children first, but I'd like everyone to be "first," and on top of that, think about putting children first. Other customers and staff are also "precious" and deserve respect, I think. A meal with a friend you haven't seen in a while, a once-in-a-lifetime meal, wanting to enjoy a quiet meal alone, I hope it can be a "Royal Host in Harumi Flag" where everyone can enjoy their meal in all kinds of situations.
