Roar Coffee is quite small, but honestly one of those places that just makes you feel good the moment you walk in. I tried the rainbow coffee (couldn’t resist), and it was actually really good - not just a gimmick. Looks fun, tastes great, no complaints. The owners are super genki and friendly in a very natural way, not the fake over-the-top kind. You can tell they enjoy what they’re doing, and it makes the whole place feel relaxed and welcoming. It’s small, cozy, a bit different, and just a really nice stop if you’re in the area. I’d definitely go back.
View on GoogleThis lovely little coffee spot serves genuinely wonderful coffee. It is a small and unique café with limited seating, but that adds to its charm rather than taking away from the experience. The coffee itself is excellent and clearly prepared with care. Service was quick, friendly, and welcoming, and the sweet menu, while small, had a really nice selection that paired well with the coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it a great stop for people who truly enjoy good coffee. Would highly recommend for coffee lovers looking for a smaller café experience with quality brews and warm service.
View on GoogleJAN 2026 Came here an hour before closing and ordered a black charcoal rainbow latte. For the latte I chose the roar wolf blend which is a medium dark roast. The latte art was skillfully made by the barista; it was pretty with the rainbow swan contrasting with the black colored coffee. The coffee was quite tasty and strong, not milky at all but it was not very smooth from the subtle powdery texture of the activated charcoal. If you want the rainbow latte art, would recommend the standard brown over black charcoal coffee unless you are not particular about the texture.
View on GoogleI think this is the best coffee shop in the world. Coffee consumption is my passion and I’ve been doing a lot of home barista-ing at home and I pretty much every city around the world. It’s been three years since I was last at Roar in Tokyo and the quality remains the same as my first taste years ago. Some insane things that brings this coffee to top % Arabica (my #2 spot). 1. It’s always consistently perfect 2. You can choose your beans -this is just wickedly hard to manage as a barista! 3. Need I mention the latte art? 4. Ceremonial matcha, that’s rare 5. Hanging stuffed tigers. ROARRR. Nuf said. Enjoy your latte.
View on GoogleHad our morning coffee here. The arabica beans are carefully roasted to retain its flavonoid & aroma compound (light roast). I had tried both Pacamara & Java Colombia espresso. Both are good but I like Pacamara a lot (+530yen), making total cost an espresso for 1070 yen. The raspberry note in Pacarama is so pronounced henceforth it’s worth paying.
