It was a Tuesday when my mum, my older sister, and I were shopping around Ginza. We also planned to come here for afternoon tea because this is my sister’s favorite chocolate shop. It was around 3:10 pm when we arrived, and we were seated right away on the second floor. My sister ordered the PARFAIT AUX FRAISES & CHAMPAGNE (strawberry and champagne parfait). My mum and I ordered the GLACE AUX FRAISES (strawberry ice cream), we chose vanilla and strawberry flavors, and also the GÂTEAU CHOCOLAT BLANC AUX FRAISES (white chocolate and strawberry cake) to share. After about 10 minutes, our desserts arrived. I originally thought the PARFAIT AUX FRAISES & CHAMPAGNE would be quite big, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to finish it by myself, so I didn’t order it. But when it arrived, the portion was actually quite small, haha. It looked very pretty and girly, and my sister enjoyed it very much. In the end, I was actually glad I didn’t order it, because I later found out that it contained alcohol. Since I’m currently pregnant, it’s better for me to avoid it. The GLACE AUX FRAISES looked simple but elegant, two scoops of ice cream with a thin piece of chocolate in the middle. The vanilla ice cream was very rich and creamy and had a wonderful aroma. You could really taste that the vanilla was high quality. It was very smooth and slowly melted in my mouth, I loved it. The strawberry ice cream was also very good: creamy, full of natural strawberry flavor, but not too strong. The thin chocolate between them was also excellent, with a bittersweet taste exactly how I like chocolate. I especially liked that the ice cream wasn’t overly sweet, the flavors were very well balanced. The GÂTEAU CHOCOLAT BLANC AUX FRAISES, however, was a bit disappointing. It felt a little dry, with too much sponge cake. The sponge was quite compact and firm, and there wasn’t enough cream to balance it out. The strawberries themselves were nice and fresh, though. After we finished our desserts, we also went back down to the first floor and bought some chocolate cakes and cookies to take home. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon tea here. I would highly recommend their ice cream and chocolate. Hopefully the cakes can be improved a bit in the future.
View on GoogleMy favorite chocolatier! I was so excited to finally try the cafe. From the moment we walked in, service was friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I was happy to know that I could change the coffee choice to tea for the set menu with parfait. I’ll definitely be back.
