After shopping at the nearby Mitsukoshi, wife was asking for a good unagi place. We chanced upon this establishment and couldn't be happier. Everyone was wonderful and the service was great and very attentive. We tried two different sets and both were delicious. The one I ordered came in a bamboo basket. The instructions listed three different ways to eat! After we ate the owner came out and greeted me. I have never felt more welcome. He kept bowing and wished us well as we walked away.

I tried their unagi bento, and it was truly exceptional. The eel was thick, tender, and juicy, with a melt-in-your-mouth sensation that showcased its perfect preparation. I also tried their Japanese egg omelette (tamago), which was soft, slightly sweet, and extremely flavorful. Additionally, I tried their grilled skewered eel liver, which was surprisingly tasty—rich, savory, and with a unique texture that elevated the meal.

Traditional unagi restaurant just off the main street near the Mitsukoshimae subway station. It’s arranged over several floors with plenty of seating. The waitresses wore beautiful kimonos and were very attentive. The menu features several unagi options with or without side dishes. The unagi takes 30 mins to prepare but is worth the wait. Delicious and gives a lot of energy!

Amazing richly flavored grilled eel restaurant in the traditional Nihonbashi area. Waiting staff are posed and gracious, dressed gofuku (kimono), just like stepping back in time however very English friendly. Suitable for business lunches.

Simple unagi meal. Very traditional setting with table service provided by ladies in Kimonos. The portion sizes was just right for lunch and the eel grilled (I think?) very nicely. I like mine eaten with a mouthful of rice and some unagi together.
