The skewers were so good! My favorites were the chicken wing and the chicken skin. The rice was just as good. It came perfectly seasoned so there was no need for any extra sauce. The flavor was spot on and it was honestly delicious on its own. The portion is on the smaller side so I could easily see myself ordering a whole pot of rice just for myself

Was searching around for a supper spot and chanced upon New Torigin right beside Torigin which was already closed. Had the Shiitake Mushroom Rice Pot (1400yen) and the Assortment of Skewers (1620yen for 6). Skewers were delicious - smoky and glazed in a delicious sweet-savoury sauce. Mushroom rice looked simple but was hearty and full of flavours. Definitely recommend both. Atmosphere was lively and the smell of smoke was not so bad where we were on the second floor. The only con was that we ordered chicken wings as our last order but think the staff forgot about it, wasn't in our bill when we gave up waiting after about 10min and went to pay.

Delicious yakitori and pot rice. We wandered over from Torigin after seeing the wait and were escorted into the restaurant promptly and very impressed with the grilled meat which was juicy and tasty. The staff were polite and friendly and also offered us an English menu.

First dinner in Tokyo, yakitori with pot rice. Wasn’t expecting any crowd given the late timing but there was a queue. Yakitori was nicely grilled especially the chicken wings and liver. Pot rice was very nice too. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

The food was mid and it's pretty much a hole in a wall place. One of the waitresses there took our order and confirmed that she understood what we wanted because she was talking to us in English. Only to find out that one of our orders never made it. As a waiter or waitress, they should always repeat the order to the customers to ensure that they didnt miss anything. The only positive side to this dinner is that one of the older japanese managers took us in when all the other places have already closed. Most likely wont come back but if you do decide to eat there, make sure they repeat your order so they dont miss anything.
