ニューキャッスルNew Castle Curry
Unfussy, family run eatery, for pork-based curries & spicy rice dishes served at counter seats.
This curry features a distinctive flavor created by the sweetness released from vegetables and the heat of spices. Since the heat comes afterward, it was named 辛来飯 (Karai Rice). The third generation has inherited the recipe dating back to Showa 21 and operates at a different location from the old shop. It'll exceed your expectations in unexpected ways^_^ Also, we treat badly behaved customers with an equally bad attitude; we speak casually to those who speak casually, and aim to be even more polite and pleasant to those with good manners (laughs) Japanese Curry Restaurant in Ginza Spicy Japanese Curry & Rice Crispy Japanese pork cu…

I recently discovered a charming little restaurant that serves Japanese curry. It's located on the lower level and is quite unassuming. You can easily order by simply selecting the size of your portion. The food was truly interesting and quite delicious. I'd certainly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a unique culinary experience.
View on GoogleGreat low key spot to grab curry. It's a pretty small place located downstairs on B1. There is ample bar seating but table seating may not be available since there are only two tables. The menu is simple. Comes with rice, curry (pork based), fukujinzuke, onions and a hard boiled, then chose the size you want. Cola, beer and coffee are available. The curry was quite tasty! I got the largest which was regular and the portion size was just right. I was glad that this place had fukujinzuke; some places don't serve it for some reason. The place has a hip bar vibe to it and is frequented by a lot of young locals. Overall a decent spot to pick up a quick bite if you are in the mood for curry.
View on GoogleMissed it the last time (6 months ago) as it is closed every alternate Sunday. Came at 2.30pm on a Saturday. No queue. Managed to taste the currey rice that friend highly recommended. It was good. Portion size a bit small for a "regular". Ordered with an additional egg. Nice friendly young boss. Don't mind being back again if there is no queue. Will not queue for it though.
View on GoogleAmazing flavor. They only make thing — when they do that it must be good. You can choose your size and whether you want more curry or eggs. This curry has no meat and only rice so order correctly.
View on GoogleBest Japanese curry I’ve had. Just fried egg and curry. Simple, yet satisfying. The spice level is on point.
