The entry price is cheap but probably should be free considering the short runtime of the museum, and it only focuses on early Japanese cinema - which is cool, but they could easily branch out into more recent history from the last decades, Japan started heaps of movements within the last 49 years, why focus solely on the 1800s - 60s?
View on GoogleThere was not one exhibit mentioning actor Toshiro Mifune and director Akira Kurosawa. It is clear that they have been blacklisted because, I guess, they were too westernized for this this exhibit. Shameful! What was exhibited was very well laid out. Closed on Mondays...
View on GoogleA bit small for the glorious history of Japanese cinema but the two exhibitions I saw was well curated.
View on GoogleWas eyeing this museum for a visit everyday I was there and I was able to on my last day in Japan. It's pretty quiet and not crowded. I was able to see everything under 2 hours.
View on GoogleSmall museum with highly interesting displays about Japanese film history. Check for special screenings and exhibits. Close to Tokyo Station, so an excellent way to spend time while awaiting your train.
