室町 砂場Muromachi Sunaba- Soba
Soba noodles, tempura & tamagoyaki omelets in a tranquil restaurant with views of a small garden.
Muromachi Sunaba is the birthplace of tenzaru and tenmori. Since our founding in Meiji 2, believing soba to be a part of Japanese culture, we have continued to refine its flavor with great dedication. A food culture of the common people, handed down unbroken since the days of Edo. Please take your time and savor this refined tradition.

① Restaurant Features A long-established soba restaurant dating back to the Meiji era. The view of the courtyard from inside creates a wonderful atmosphere. ② Food Review ◎ Tempura Zaru Soba The birthplace of tempura zaru soba. Shrimp and small scallop kakiage tempura are served in the soba dipping sauce. The soba noodles are pure white Sarashina soba made only from the center of the buckwheat grain. They are thin yet firm and delicious. I wish there had been a bit more.
View on GoogleDelicious soba here as expected. Service was exceptional. The staff was patient and helped to sort out the ordering due to allergy issues. Very reasonable pricing. A comprehensive English menu is available upon request. You will be well fed and well taken care of here!
View on GoogleTo be honest, it didn’t worth the price. The soba I order is not that delicious as I expect. You can definitely have better soba in another place. Quiet disappointed as the next day I enjoyed the same soba in Karuizawa in half price, even more delicious. The vibe at night is good, many locals having their meeting there. The service is good tbh.
View on GoogleBest of Soba restaurant in Tokyo. At first, try to drink Sake "Reisyu Junmaisyu". And eat "Kamaboko" with the Sake. If you like Miso, "Soba miso" is good too. Then eat Soba, recommended the first soba "Mori Soba (ichibanko)". Put into Tsuyu(Soup) half of Soba. Then eat Soba, "Ten zaru soba". Very delicious.
View on Googlelong line, but when we reached the front they let people cut queue and when we finally got inside they said everywhere was reserved when they told us we couldn’t reserve/book tables
