View on GoogleThe owner has a lovely smile, it's a hard-to-dislike place, and the food tastes good. I'd like to visit again, but I have a few comments. First, I'd like mayonnaise to always be available on the table🙇They provide individual packets, but those don't really lift my spirits. Also, regarding how food is served, I'd like them to stop bringing everything out at once when 2 or 3 dishes are ordered. That day we ordered okonomiyaki, monja, and yakisoba, but when everything arrived at once for the two of us, the griddle and table were small, so we struggled to find space to put it all. Also, I drove there that day, so I couldn't drink alcohol, but there was no cola or anything like that on the menu, and I felt the nonalcoholic selection was limited. I'd really like them to consider this. Lastly, to repeat myself, I like the flavors and found the food delicious, so it's a place I'd like to visit again, but I wrote this because the points above bothered me.
View on GoogleA new restaurant had opened, so I decided to try it! First, I ordered edamame, grilled yam, and oysters. The yam and oysters grilled crisp in butter were very delicious. I ordered the unusual garlic mayonnaise monja listed on the recommended souvenir menu! The garlic aroma, mayonnaise, and cabbage went together perfectly, with a flavor ideal for snacking alongside alcohol. I really enjoyed it. The staff were also very kind.
View on GoogleA monja restaurant on floor 1 of a new building in the second section of Tsukishima Monja Street. A long-established Tsukishima restaurant in its fourth generation. There is no raised floor-seating area, just tables for 2 and 4 people. The menu centers on monja, with okonomiyaki, teppanyaki, yakisoba・udon, and snacks as well. A variety of drinks is also available. The restaurant recommends ①garlic mayonnaise monja, ②mochi mentai cheese monja, ③double bacon egg ten, ④salmon monja, and ⑤oyster monja, but this time I ordered Hokkaido monja(scallops, corn, etc. 1500円)and special miso monja(pork, green onions, etc. 1500円). Hokkaido monja is seasoned by drizzling sauce around it, then adding chili pepper to taste in addition to aonori. Leaving the seasoning to the customer's preference is a very nostalgic approach.
