It has been over a year since I went to this restaurant but I have to leave a review for this wonderful spot! I had been trying to find wafu on our 3rd week into our Japan trip and came across this gem near our hotel. Amazingly huge menu - I had the cod roe and tuna, my mate had the spicy carbonara - did NOT disappoint! Huge servings, full of wonderful flavours, pasta perfectly cooked. Thank you for fulfilling my Japanese pasta dreams! I wish I could have eaten her everyday for the rest of our trip!
View on GoogleA riverside restaurant specializing in Japanese-style Western pasta dishes. The name "Maillol" was inspired by the name of Jacques Maillol, and the restaurant is decorated with dolphin objects. The menu offers a wide variety of pasta dishes, and every dish will make you feel like you are savoring a special pasta dish just a little bit more. The English menu makes menu selection easy. The restaurant is very crowded at lunch time, so be prepared to wait in line to get in.
View on GoogleLoved it! Highly Recommended! We got the soy butter eggplant & mushroom spaghetti and Cod Roe Butter and Squid Past and both were amazing. Very reasonably priced, for main sizes and drinks! The host is so lovely and the decor of the restaurant is so fun, being fish / underwater themed. Definifely make a trip to visit, we were stoked to be seated right away on a stormh night with such warm service.
View on GoogleI interested because it said japanized western restaurant. The butter sauced spagetti is too thick for me. The soy and butter sauced better. This restaurant is full of japanese, and i think it’s not really suited western’s taste. The service is kinda rough, they take your plate and cutlery and all right after you finished eating to urge you to pay and go. I know that this place is busy but i think the treatment is kinda harsh for tourists.
View on GoogleWent here for lunch. Had the Carbonara! Delicious! There weee 6 of us with one being vegetarian. Everyone was happy. Huge oysters in the seafood plate. The decor was like a small shop in Haleiwa, Hawaii. Made me feel at home. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a bite in the area!
