View on GoogleI went for the mid-priced course on a weekday evening. This is 100% my fault, but our reservation was for 2 and one person canceled on the day. I worked up my courage, called the restaurant an hour before the reservation, explained the situation, and asked, "Would it be okay if just one person comes?" The owner said, "That's a problem since we've already prepared." It was a blatant refusal. So I had no choice but to ask them to push back the time, and then for about 90 minutes I frantically sent LINE messages and texts to about 90 acquaintances, and somehow one person was able to come right away, so it worked out, but I was completely exhausted and worn out before the meal even started. It was a harsh response, considering that at other places, even high-end Italian restaurants and sushi restaurants, on two past occasions when I told them one person on a course reservation had canceled last minute, they said, "Understood. Please come as one." When I arrived, there was a group of customers and one pair at the counter, and the staff were two people, a man and a woman who seemed to be a married couple. It's understandable that they were busy, but the woman didn't even say "welcome." Apparently they had been operating in Nakameguro for over 10 years and fairly recently moved to Kyobashi, where the rent is about double. The prices are fairly high too, and the food was reasonably tasty, but as an experience it was the worst, so I'll never go again. First-timers should plan dates, business entertaining, etc. with the risk of something like the above happening in mind.
View on GoogleA restaurant that was popular in Ebisu has moved to Kyobashi. Still a parade of wonderful dishes. The mackerel sushi was as wonderful in quality as ever. A place I'd like to visit again.
View on GoogleThe food and drinks were delicious, and the interior was very clean with a calm atmosphere. I was able to enjoy a relaxed, grown-up time.
