Value 7/10 Included meal items in set 1/10 Main dish freshness & taste 7/10 English confidence 7/10 Service 6/10 meal didn't even include rice. price advertised was 780¥ but somehow it ended up costing over 1100¥. no explanation was offered. I assume the cost was tax and rice but I didn't even see rice as an option on the menu so I assumed it was free.
View on GoogleAmazing place. For $10 usd had good big meal. Couldn't finish it.
View on GoogleVisited at lunchtime. The seats were almost full. People around me were ordering it, so I ordered the “mapo ramen set ¥880.” It had a slightly numbing spiciness, and the individual tofu pieces were large and delicious. The side dish, almond pudding, and fried rice were practically just extras. I couldn’t really make out the fried rice’s flavor. It contained egg, so I suppose it was egg fried rice, but it was like eating plain rice. Also a little watery. There’s seating up to the 2nd floor, and perhaps because it was busy, I waited at least 30 minutes for the food. Someone else was asking, “Is my ramen ready yet?” so be careful if you’re short on time. The mapo ramen was delicious, and lots of people around me were ordering it, so I recommend it.
View on GoogleStopped in for lunch while walking along the Sumida River. The Shanghai yakisoba was very delicious! Generous portions and good value too. The woman serving the food set the trays down a little roughly, but seeing her polish the water glasses until they sparkled left an impression.
View on GoogleI had the daily happosai lunch for 750円. In this area, 750円 is quite reasonable. The taste was fairly good, or rather, pretty safe. The oyster sauce came through and went well with rice. The thickened soup was tasty too, but the accompanying vegetables—salt-rubbed, perhaps?—were a little bland. Something like zha cai might be better. Being able to walk straight in without waiting right in the middle of lunchtime seemed to say something, but the value at 750円 made it feel reasonable enough. The interior feels like a long-established Chinese restaurant and shows its age. I quite like that atmosphere. The only thing that bothered me was the annoying little flies buzzing around.
