On Saturday afternoon, while cycling near Harumi, I searched online for a lunch spot and this came up as a recommendation. I didn't know there was a place to eat inside "HARUMIRAI." It's on the 2nd floor of HARUMIRAI, and families, solo diners, and others, probably Chuo Ward residents, seemed to be coming to eat. Ordering is by QR code, and payment accepts cash, credit, and QR code payments, impressive facilities indeed. I went with the classic "karaage" + "rice + soup set"; the rice can be upsized for free. If you also want to enjoy the drink bar, it's +200 yen, and overall it felt like a good deal. The karaage wasn't greasy at all, exactly my favorite type of karaage, and felt healthy with nothing unnecessary added. It seems they're actually particular about their ingredients too. They also had hamburg steak and mixed fry, so I'd definitely like to come back and try other dishes next time.
View on GoogleOld-fashioned Napolitan 1000 yen: tangy tomato sauce, red wieners, broccoli. Honestly, I was shocked a Napolitan could be this bad. The red wieners are the worst. I couldn't find any other restaurant to go into, so I got off the BRT bus and grabbed a quick lunch, but I don't recommend it.
View on GoogleI heard they'd started dinner service on weekends only, so I went with my kids! The karaage was 800 yen! Affordable, generous portions, and delicious. They also had snacks like fresh lemon sour, edamame, and scallop carpaccio, which were tasty! I'm so happy there's a new place where you can enjoy a drink with your kids along!
View on GoogleI went 2〜3 times with friends after yoga or Pilates. The ginger pork set meal was just super salty, and the karaage came out totally burnt. I thought about telling the staff, but they must have known when they brought it out, and I could sense they found it hard to say anything to the kitchen, so somehow I couldn't bring myself to say it and just ate it. When I asked for scissors so I could cut off the burnt bits, there was no apology at all, and they handed me baby scissors. The kitchen staff seemed to be cooking while fiddling with their phones the whole time. The food can't really be called tasty, and the coffee drinks at the all-you-can-drink drink bar were really awful.. I don't think I'll be coming back. Thanks for the meal….
View on GoogleI visited at lunchtime on a weekday. Whether it was the timing or because it's not well known, it was empty. The interior is spacious, with an atmosphere that seems comfortable for people with kids. There were plenty of kids' chairs and tableware. You order on your phone via QR code, but everything other than the menu items on the table was sold out. The lunch set meals include the drink bar, which feels like a good deal. I had the fried chicken karaage set meal, which was piping hot and crispy, really delicious. Of everything, what I found most delicious was the white rice. It's glossy and fluffy. It's also tasty with the Izu Oshima salt on the table. The rice is a small portion, but if you ask the staff you can get a refill. The miso soup felt a little light, but the dashi came through and it was tasty. The pickles were takuan that seemed homemade, perfect with rice. Next time I think I'll try the famous aji fry. I really liked it and definitely want to go again. They're closed on Wednesdays, and on Fridays and Saturdays they're apparently also open in the evening as long as they don't run out of ingredients.
