The main branch in Gion, Kyoto has won the Michelin Bib Gourmand for 3 consecutive years! It is a gyoza izakaya that has been featured in many TV shows and magazines, and is a hot topic on social media! The Ginza branch serves the same menu as the Gion main branch and is open until late at night on weekdays. Some seats require reservations, but we basically prioritize customers who come on the day, so please feel free to come without a reservation.

We walked in right when they opened at 5 PM, so we were their first customers! 🥹✨ We were greeted and assisted right away. The ginger gyoza was AMAZING! 🤤🥟 Loved it so much and ended up ordering 4 servings! Honestly, this is the BEST gyoza I’ve had so far in Tokyo! 🇯🇵❤️

I'm changing my rating from 4 to 1 for my second visit. 1) They serve burnt dumplings without any apology. 2) They charge 10% extra for food ordered after 10pm. I ordered all the food before 10pm, but the billing is not clear. I will not go back. ———————— A restaurant that focuses on dumplings. The dumplings are hand-made and steamed with care, and they are very delicious. One side is crispy and the other side is moist. All three types of dumplings were excellent. The only regret is that the price is a bit more expensive than expected. The portions are small, so if you eat several, you may be surprised when you pay.

The food was super delicious and very affordable. The gyozas are spectacular, with a very nice selection of beer and sake. The staff were really warm and welcoming, we definitely recommend it! Arigato gozaymasu (:

The gyoza were perfectly cooked, with a juicy filling and fantastic flavour. I especially loved how simple the menu is,they focus on a few dishes and do them exceptionally well. The food arrived quickly, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything felt carefully prepared. If you're looking for authentic Japanese gyoza and a genuine local dining experience, Gyoza Hohei is absolutely worth a visit. I would happily return.

A popular gyoza spot with origins in Kyoto. It’s a small shop with counter seats and one table kinda tucked away in the back. There are only a couple of gyoza options, which I always like as it seems they do those few things well. The other food options were good too, and I highly recommend the potato salad and cucumber. The gyoza were a bit small, and were a little soft on one side, and I would’ve preferred them a little crunchier. The truffle ones were definitely the best. Service was ok.
