Ginza Maru」 is a Japanese restaurant based on Kyoto cuisine, located in 銀座6丁目 behind GINZA SIX. At lunch, fish—including our signature saikyo-grilled sablefish—is charcoal-grilled to order and served with freshly cooked rice and miso soup made with dashi prepared every morning. In the evening, we offer a seasonal omakase requiring advance reservations, centered on our signature hassun and featuring sashimi, charcoal-cooked dishes, clay-pot rice, and more. You can also enjoy sake, wine, and pairings. When seats are available on the day, we also offer a seasonal tasting course for 6,600円 (tax included), combining a starter, sashimi, charcoal-grilled fish, clay-pot rice, and dessert. Ginza Maru…

Came for lunch, open from 1130 onwards (no reservation for lunch time) and a queue was forming before opening. They have just 4 set lunches, grilled cod fish, mackerel, yellow tail and pork loin marinated with miso which came with a soup, rice and pickles with the most expensive set at 1,950yen which is highly affordable. We all had the grilled cod fish set and it did not disappoint, with the light char on the skin, complementing the slight umami of the miso, and tender fish meat which separated easily from the bones. Rice is pearly and plump, exactly what you expect from Japanese rice, and soup is not too salty. Love the pickles too which goes well with rice. Will be back if I have the chance :)

Ordered the “Black Cod Fish Marinated in White Miso” - it was heavenly! The fish was well marinated and grilled, with each bite overflowing with flavour! Service was fast and professional. Strongly recommended to come! This restaurant is hidden on the 2nd floor so look out for the staircase leading up to this place! Total paid: Yen 1,950

This place was just fantastic. I have never had anyone grill fish this good before. The service was courteous and helpful and food is amazing for the price. You cannot go anywhere else paying less than 2000yen for one of the best grilled fishes ever. Our recommendation always get their fish of the day, we went twice and both times we were blown away by the food. The fish was grilled perfectly and tasted amazing. You can tell how fresh their fish was as well. We will be going back many times for sure. Thank you for the wonderful meals. Honestly, I didn't want to leave a review because I don't want the lines getting any longer but I couldn't help express the gratitude for the amazing food and especially for the price. Look at that perfectly grilled fish, it is amazing.

We didn’t really have high expectations of this restaurant, but it was much better than we thought. The atmosphere was quiet and calm, had a wooden interior, and comfortable seats. The fish was really tasty, especially the grilled king salmon, and the staff were really kind too. Honestly, I didn’t get why some people gave one star for this restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant for people who don’t like crowded places, and I’d revisit again when I happen to be in Ginza. 😋👍

This is my 3rd year in a row coming to this place for lunch. This place feels homely yet spacious, the tables are not too close together and the server speaks English well. Everything I’ve tried is grilled to perfection and my favourite is the black cod. Prices are really affordable too and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo.
