フレンチーズFRENCHIES
A 1-minute walk from 人形町駅. A stylish French bistro that feels like it belongs on a Paris street. At lunchtime, we specialize in galettes & crêpes. Our galettes use 100% coarsely stone-ground buckwheat flour, making them wholesome and filling. At dinner, we offer a casual bistro suitable for everyday visits. We recommend 『名物エイヒレのムニエル ニース風』, made with ray fins from 北海道. Enjoy its firm, crunchy texture and rich flavor. We also offer a wide variety of wines by the glass, so you can enjoy the season's tastiest glass at a reasonable price. After visiting 小網神社 or 水天宮, after work, and of course…

Good food and quiet atmosphere. Prices are reasonable too, but portions are really small. More than three stars would've been unfair to some other places I have visited and graded with four stars.

View on GoogleOrdered the galette+salad lunch for 1680円. ◆Location…☆☆☆ A 4-minute walk south from 人形町駅. 3 streets west of the wide 人形町通り, on the 1st floor of a 7-story office building facing a lively street lined with offices and shops, with sidewalks on both sides. ◆Layout・Interior design…☆☆☆☆ With high ceilings and classic-looking light fixtures, the interior was an elegant, spacious setting that could have been on a Paris street corner. Just inside were 4-person tables×3 and 2-person tables×3, with 4-person tables×3 at the back. The kitchen was on the left upon entering. ◆Operation・Atmosphere…☆☆☆ The kitchen staffing was unclear; 1 man handled cooking+service. There were several groups of female customers, and the atmosphere was quiet. The BGM was quiet vocal jazz, such as Diana Krall & Bryan Adams. ◆Food…☆☆☆ The salad came first. The vegetables were lettuce, purple cabbage, carrot, and cucumber. It had a light dressing of vinegar, olive oil, and salt, and was refreshing and delicious. There were 4 kinds of galette. You could choose ①octopus and potato Genovese, ②ratatouille with seasonal vegetables, ③Nordic with salmon, or ④complète with ham and prosciutto. I tried the Nordic this time; perhaps because the salmon was smoked, it paired well with the spinach and was nicely balanced with the runny fried egg. The buckwheat-based galette batter also felt healthy. Its toasty aroma and texture were good, and unlike wheat-flour crêpes, it was well suited to a meal. ◆Value…☆☆☆ The value was fairly decent, I suppose. The price was slightly high, but it was close to the station, and above all, the space was very comfortable. I'd also expected the portions to be small, but they were surprisingly substantial and satisfying. As you'd expect from a bistro, wine and cheese seemed to be specialties too. I'd like to return with friends in the evening.
View on GoogleVisited around 11 on a weekday and entered smoothly without lining up. The interior had a very calm atmosphere, with an unhurried pace, making it a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. The staff were also extremely polite and kind, so it felt comfortable. Their attentive service left a very good impression. At lunchtime I ordered the galette, salad, and drink set, and it was a nice bonus that cider and wine were also available as the set drink. It's perfect for lunch with a little alcohol. The main galette had an exquisite balance of toasted batter and fillings, showing the freshness of the ingredients and care in preparation. In particular, the simple galette that brought out the ingredients' flavors felt like a luxurious dish. Overall, I enjoyed a slightly special time and a highly satisfying lunch worth the price. I'd definitely like to return.
