Two reasons I came here 1) I used to work close to this cafe and had always wanted to try it 2) If you don’t know but John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono used to come here. One important thing is this place is cash only So don’t expect to flash your credit card or Suica :PASMO card. It’s a very quiet cafe so I wouldn’t recommend this for chatting with or families I speak and read japanese so I have no problem with their menu but I can’t remember if they had an English menu. It’s an excellent place for introvert or when you want to seek peace and quiet away from the crowd. It was a weekday so I got a table with no problem around 11:30. The place is small and there aren’t many tables so I suggest to avoid coming on weekends. They make nice curry but as you can see there wasn’t much in the curry that’s why by price is cheap considering it’s within proximity of Ginza.
View on GoogleGreat little cafe. Its the famous place where John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited. Came here just to have a few pics for my sisters but it was worth it. The menu is light healthy meals. Shared a eggplant keema curry and flava bean vegetable curry with my wife. Also tried their homemade sable cookies and their cinnamon french toast. The toast wad simple but delicious. The coffee and tea were also great. I definitely recommend the place. Its a bit small and cozy but very cute with a hard working staff and a good history. Definitely a place for a date or just a small meal with a few friends.
View on GoogleI didn’t order any food here, I only ordered a Darjeeeling Tea. I came only because this is the cafe Yoko Ono brought John Lennon to when they went to Tokyo. I fell in love with the homey vibe and the down to earth yet tasteful interior design. I also love John Lennon singing in the background being a fan of Lennon. It didn’t disappoint and I will come back again next time I visit Tokyo.
View on GoogleIf you don't speak Japanese, don't come here expecting a good meal. The English menu only has 2 food items: veg curry, and cinnamon toast set. We saw the locals ordering eggplant curry which is more substantial. We would have ordered the eggplant curry if it was made known to us earlier. The Cinnamon toast set is not bad, but the portion is not worth the 1200 yen.
View on GoogleHistoric cafe of John Lennon and his wife. Located in the middle of Ginza. Coffee is good. Seating area are cozy. They have some food in the menu. Cash and credit card are accepted.
