CoCo Ichibanya Chuoku Ningyocho
「カレーハウス CoCo壱番屋」 is a curry specialty restaurant founded in 1978 and originating in Aichi Prefecture. Our curry is popular for its wide range of toppings and adjustable spice levels. The name 「CoCo壱番屋」 comes from the pun 「ここが一番や」, meaning “this place is the best,” which the founder thought of while visiting famous restaurants at the time and feeling that “our curry tastes the best!”

I came for lunch after a meeting the morning. Was a bit busy but most of the people were done and leaving. I got seated right away an ordered via the QR code. Good price and quality, hasn’t changed since I’ve been to Tokyo in a year. Good portion and tasted great. I’m getting older so I don’t know how much longer my digestive system can withstand the war against spicy food. Friendly staff and it’s fast, good price, good and consistent quality, and reliable👍
View on GoogleWonderful curry spot with lots of great options. Many choices from seafood to vegetarian options. The pricing is great and you get lots of food. The flavors are great and you can chose your level of spice or even no spice. They have a variety of side salads and the combos are very reasonable. My son actually loves this spot and we have been twice in 2 days. Locations are plentiful. The staff is very friendly but your ordering is done via QR code so be prepared for that.
View on GoogleMuch like every CoCo place, this one should satisfy your wildest needs in terms of Japanese curry with rice. There are countless menu options, and you can build your own combination as well, if the menu is not enough for you. The service is relatively fast, but you may have to wait a while if the place gets busy. In my experience, it was quite empty, so the wait time wasn't too bad. Other than that, the staff was very professional and responsive, so this will be one of my go-to places in terms of Japanese curry. You can also choose how spicy/sweet you prefer you curry to be, which comes in handy for people with extreme preferences in this regard.
View on GoogleSo yummy. I had the stewed chicken curry with a half size of spinach add on. It looked like the menu pic. I picked level 2 spicy and it was perfect. I sat by the bar and they quickly took my order and brought out my order. Enjoy.
View on GoogleVery delicious, level 5 spice was perfect for me although it is still very spicy. Cheese was a great addition and the standard portion overall is filling.
