I found myself in the Corredo building with a craving for something sweet, so I thought, why not a canelé. I took a seat and ordered through the QR‑code menu—entirely in Japanese, naturally—and discovered you can choose from several restaurants. CHIANTI were offering a limited‑edition set: Jasmine and Orange tea paired with a canelé for ¥1000. I gave it a try. The dessert arrived cold, tasting unexpectedly like cheesecake, which I didn’t mind, though the portion was modest. I ordered the tea hot; it arrived at a temperature rivaling the surface of the sun. Had I not been so focused on deciphering the Japanese‑only menu, I might have noticed the staff quietly stocking two freezers full of canelés beside me. So yes… if you’re looking to spend an hour waiting for your tea to cool to a drinkable state, this is the place. You’ll be accompanied by the aroma of rice frying in the Thai kitchen next door. There’s a wall plug for charging. The tea tasted acceptable—from what I could discern after scorching my tongue. Somehow both foamy and watered down, as if only the syrup on top carried any flavour and the rest was powdered ingredients. I may need to consult a doctor about the throat burns.
View on GoogleTried the Tokyo special n plain canele with ice latte. Plain canele is good enough. 1200yen set for this. Pretty worth it since a canele is selling at400yen here. They didn't even heat up the canele. Ice latte very normal. Nothing special. Can skip if you are finding something unique.
View on GoogleThe canele is prepackaged and not good. If you’ve ever been to a patisserie that bakes canele fresh everyday you’ll know the outside should be crunchy coated with a baked wax and inside is spongy. This canele is soggy and I would absolutely skip this place.
View on GoogleI recommend to order “Canelé with drink set” (1,000¥) The package is so cool and convenient for break time!
View on GoogleThe appearance of canele was good so maybe it fits for souvenirs to someone who doesn't usually eat sweets. However I won't recommend to friends or colleagues nor invite them to dine in as they'll surely be disappointed once they eat...
