【Directly connected to Tokyo Station (via Yaesu Underground Mall)】 A great location you can reach without getting wet even on rainy days. We serve a variety of Italian dishes centered on "rice," an essential part of Japan's soul food. Please visit us for lunch or dinner at Tokyo Station or Yaesu. ◆Italian cuisine exploring the potential of Japanese "rice" We use many carefully chosen ingredients that expand the possibilities of rice, such as white eggs from chickens raised on domestic rice, rice paper, homemade rice gnocchi, and rice flour pasta. The rice cooked in a hagama pot is Yanmar rice from Tottori Prefecture. Our proud dishes fuse Japanese × Italian, finishing traditional Italian dishes with carefully selected domestic ingredients…

As a foreigner living in Japan, I was hoping for a memorable dining and wine experience at Asterisco, but it fell a bit short of expectations. The Japanese red wine offered was quite unique—an acquired taste—with a noticeably floral aroma and a sweetness that felt a little overpowering for my palate. The meal itself was fine, but I found myself wishing for bolder, more defined flavors. Nothing was bad, but nothing truly stood out either. One aspect that surprised me was the service style: the server tasted the wine themselves instead of offering me the chance to taste it first. It may be a local custom or the restaurant’s own approach, but it felt unusual and slightly off‑putting from a customer perspective. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t quite reach the level I was hoping for. Three stars feels fair.

Sep 2, 2025 Delicious dinner overall. Got the 5,500 yen course per person and I was 80% full and we ordered 2 more shared dishes, but it would be better to slightly increase the volume. Most dishes have a special feature of using rice ingredients. Rice pasta and rice tiramisu were both tasty. Wagyu beef was juicy and tasty albeit a little raw -- I don't mind it but personal preference might vary. Menu: - pate and tartar appetizer - bruschetta of rice flour bread with beef sinew bolognese and raspadura cheese - rice pasta (chewy and mochimochi, like udon) - grilled A5-rank wagyu beef (+500 yen) - rice tiramisu and coffee or tea

Head chef has made a really unique menu. Combination of flavours is unique, something you'd normally find at a restaurant with a menu made by a Michelin star chef. Service is good too. Food came at a good pace. Cashless payment so just keep that in mind. Worth trying if you want quality Italian food. You won't regret it IMO.

Had a few work lunches at Asterisco during our stay in Tokyo. Food was great, and the staff were really patient and helpful. They were also able to accommodate my allergies, which I really appreciated. I especially liked the fish.
