it was my first time trying unagi, and i can say that it was great! i got the unagi double for 1100 yen, and i think that it's very good for its price. (i have no way of comparing this to other unagi places since it's my first time trying) the staff was very friendly and tried to converse with us in english (basic words, but hey he tried!). i was asked if i wanted large or regular rice and i regret not getting the large 😆 the place was very small, so it might be a little crowded if all seats were taken, but it's no problem. they also offer takeout! would definitely come back again next time~

The skewers come in flavors such as wasabi, mentaiko, and ume, making them perfect with a drink. The dashimaki tamago had a fluffy texture. The atmosphere is comfortable for solo diners, so I think it's convenient for a meal after work or a quick drink. The tabletop and indoor signs are approachable, and 宇奈とと's character 「宇奈ととちゃん」 also left an impression. An easy place to visit when you feel like casually having eel.

For eel, I thought it was decent for the price. The umaki didn't have enough egg and was underwhelming. The interior is cramped like a run-down gyudon shop, so getting a bento to take home is the way to go💦

Visiting for the first time in years, the ticket machine was gone, and when I entered, the shop was covered in large menu posters. The unlimited shibazuke pickles were gone too. Prices had risen by about １割. Well, considering things lately, that's acceptable. I ordered うな重 and red miso soup. They finish it over charcoal, so it's slightly crisp.
