Delicious! I like the meat or chashu, it is really tasty and tender. I like the texture of the noodles, it is perfectly cooked. Nothing special with the miso soup, but it is good! Overall, I like it 👍
View on GoogleI’d missed lunch, but this place seemed to stay open without a break, so I casually stopped in for my first visit. At first I thought shoyu… but I was concerned about the saltiness of tsukemen, and spicy miso seemed to be the signature dish, so I went with regular spicy miso ramen (800円). I wasn’t concerned about firmness, but apparently you can choose noodle thickness. Since I didn’t know the restaurant, I chose thick noodles, which seemed unlikely to require worrying about how they matched the soup, and it seems that was the right choice. The bowl arrived after a while. Although called spicy miso, the soup had a spicy-looking color but only mild heat. It didn’t feel like the soup itself was really spicy miso, so ordering miso and adding the chili powder on the table would be cheaper and make the heat easier to adjust. The soup itself didn’t have much broth flavor, but the thick noodles made the saltiness less unpleasant and it was easy to eat. Thin noodles might have made it too salty… The toppings were an economical combination of pork belly, a little chopped onion, and mostly bean sprouts underneath. The noodles weren’t firm, but had a decent chew, so I thought they were pleasant to eat. It’s in 調布 and open without a break, so it works when you need a stopgap meal.
View on GoogleSpicy miso tsukemen (medium noodles, large portion, no bean sprouts) 調布 Station entrance intersection Meal-ticket system, counter and tables Ramen and tsukemen centered on spicy miso Choose thin, medium, or thick noodles; regular, large, or extra-large portions can also be chosen at no additional charge At regular strength, the miso and heat are only faintly noticeable. If you want a modern, intense kick, I think choosing extra spicy or similar is advisable The noodles seem homemade and have a slightly distinctive character
View on Google【Spice lovers, gather round♪︎☆A ramen shop specializing in spicy miso & extreme heat】 布田, 調布 City, 東京都. A ramen & tsukemen shop specializing in spicy miso & extra-spicy miso ramen. The nearest station is 調布 on the 京王 Line. It’s at the intersection with 品川通り from the station’s south exit. A fairly longstanding member of the ramen scene around 調布 Station _〆(゚▽゚*) Back at 「虎よし」 after a long time. Looking at my history, it’s been almost four and a half years. My tolerance for extreme spice has declined with age, but I still crave it occasionally. Not the sweat of youth, but middle-aged-man sweat… (haha) Yes, yes♪︎ I want to work up a sweat(´ー`A;) Arrived at 11 on a weekday, just after opening. The ticket machine is outside. No customers before me, 1 regular afterward. Two staff members around their 60s. I recognized one with white hair. He’s probably the owner. At lunch, rice & raw eggs are complimentary. I just had the raw egg(^o^ゞ ◆Today’s order◆ Extra-spicy miso 840円 Large noodles 100円 Choose from three noodle types: flat thick noodles, straight medium-thin noodles, and thin noodles. I requested a large portion of thick noodles. For tsukemen, regular (200g), large (300g), and extra-large (400g) portions cost the same. The bowl arrived in about 7–8 minutes♪︎ It looks bright red, but perhaps not truly extra spicy. The redness is probably cayenne pepper. If unchanged from before, the soup uses a broth of pork knuckle bones, whole chicken, vegetables, and more, with a 仙台 miso-based seasoning sauce. As many reviews mention, it does feel slightly lacking in richness and savoriness. This place competes on heat! You should probably order spicy miso or hotter q(*・ω・*)p Go for it! The noodles are cooked slightly soft. On the table are chili powder, fish powder, a special spicy condiment (onions soaked in a special fresh-chili seasoning liquid), sesame, pepper, and more, so customizing to your taste is an option(o^-')b ! The toppings are a few slices of pork belly and bean sprouts. Since there isn’t much meat, extra meat (100円) might be worth adding. I put the raw egg in during the second half♪︎ Finished all the soup. It was delicious. Worked up a good sweat(〃´ω`〃) Next time, perhaps I’ll try the tsukemen I haven’t had yet. Extra-spicy miso tsukemen with 400g of noodles for 730円 is cheap. It’s local, so I want to support it(っ`・ω・´)っ #Komusubi #ChallengersWantedForSuperSpicy「鬼虎」 #MisoRamen #Tsukemen #Ramen #品川通り #FreeRiceAndRawEggAtLunch #HighLikelihoodOfReturning #NextTimeExtraSpicyMisoTsukemen …………………………………………………………………… 【Proud of its 仙台 miso♪︎☆A leading extra-spicy ramen shop in 調布】 布田, 調布 City, 東京都. It’s been a really long time since I visited 「虎よし」. My first visit was perhaps about 5 years ago… The noodles were clumped together and the staff’s service was brusque, leaving a poor impression, so I’d stayed away(-人-;) Still, surviving in such a competitive area deserves plenty of credit. They must have that much support(o^-')b ! Recently, they’ve become known as a participant in 調布 City’s annual spicy-food festival, 「Oh!!辛チャレンジ」 φ(^Д^ ) By the south exit of 調布 Station on the 京王 Line, along 品川通り, opposite ブックオフ. About a 7-minute walk from the station, an excellent location. Entered just after 11; no customers before me, 4 afterward. An older person was running the place alone. It didn’t seem to be the person who left a bad impression last time( ╹▽╹ ) ◆Today’s order◆ Spicy miso ramen with all toppings 1040円 This time I had their signature spicy miso ramen with all toppings (chashu and seasoned egg), with medium-thick noodles. Ten minutes after ordering, the ramen bowl arrived on a tray. It looked delicious at first glance( ̄¬ ̄) The soup uses generous amounts of pork knuckle bones, backbones, whole chicken, and vegetables, simmered thoroughly into a special broth boasting the richness of pork bones and mellow whole-chicken flavor. Choose flat thick, medium-thick, or thin noodles. Since it had been a while, I played it safe with medium-thick. They seem homemade. They have a good chew and hold the soup well(^^)b The seasoning sauce is based on 仙台 miso, skillfully blended with varieties from 四川, 山東, and Korea, with a good chili kick. Toppings are simmered pork, bean sprouts, nori, chili threads, and, with all toppings, thin chashu and a seasoned egg. The chashu is thin but meltingly tender and very delicious. Yes♪︎ Please slice it thicker(p^-^)p Overall, a thoroughly satisfying bowl. 200g was too little for me. For tsukemen, you can choose 200, 300, or 400g for the same price. Another downside is that adding all toppings takes it over a thousand yen. As for heat, even spicy miso was still insufficient. There’s extra spicy and, beyond that, the ultimate heat of 「鬼虎」 that has stood in the way of many challengers, so I’d like to try it someday p(^-^)q #Maegashira #Oh辛チャレンジin調布 #UltimateExtraSpicyRamen鬼虎 #MisoRamen #ChangedToAPositiveRating #ReviewContentMenuAndPricesAsOfAugust2017
View on GoogleI came looking for spicy ramen. The ticket machine is outside. I panicked briefly because I couldn’t find the entrance, but it’s beside the machine. Apparently there used to be a dish called 鬼虎, with instructions on the machine to order it verbally, but that’s gone. I ordered extra-spicy miso. You can choose thin, medium, or thick noodles, with the thick ones being flat. I chose thick this time. Perhaps because it was after 2 on Saturday, there were 2 customers eating. The kitchen shouldn’t have been busy, but cooking took quite a while. Maybe boiling the noodles took time? 😅 Here it is! Bright red with plenty of red powder. With bean sprouts, pork, and chopped garlic, it looked Jiro-style. Tasting the soup—oh! Such strong miso!!! Delicious! Yet there was still a little dab of miso on the edge of the bowl 😊 The heat didn’t make me cough when slurping, so it wasn’t that spicy. Medium-thick noodles might match better than flat ones. I happily finished it, though the portion was a little large. When I returned the bowl saying thanks for the meal 🙏😆, I was asked if the heat was okay. I said it was delicious and spicy, and got a smile. Maybe next time I can ask for extra heat!
