【A bakery with the 手紙舎 touch, deep inside 神代団地】 I read an article somewhere saying that 手紙舎 had opened a bakery, so I headed there across 神代団地. This housing complex is surprisingly enormous. On the map it looked as though I would arrive quickly, but in reality it took a while to reach, and I ended up walking a fair distance. The shop is in a corner of the complex. It is not flashy, but it has a gentle atmosphere that somehow feels characteristic of 手紙舎. ◆ ナポリパン 350円 Something like ナポリタン turned directly into bread. Sausage, mushrooms, green pepper, and a ketchup-based sauce. The flavor is somewhat nostalgic, but each ingredient is genuinely delicious. The sausage in particular had a memorable presence. The ingredients are well balanced too. Nothing flashy, but satisfying. ◆ オリーブ 280円 This one is a crusty bread. The dough and olives go well together, offering classic deliciousness without any gimmicks. It was the kind of bread that makes you want to pair it with wine. ◆ 黒胡椒塩パン 300円 (wife) My wife bought this one. Apparently the black pepper gave a nice accent to the straightforward deliciousness of salt bread. The shop also has breads resembling little cakes, making them enjoyable to look at as well as eat. There is a sense that they enjoy the breadmaking itself, and simply looking around lifts your mood. Above all, what stayed with me was the staff. Everyone was warm and greeted us with natural smiles. The bread tastes good, of course, but the atmosphere of the whole shop is pleasant too. Perhaps that is what makes it feel like 手紙舎. I thought I would like to stop by again. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleAs a bakery run by 手紙舎, the storefront and atmosphere are lovely. Perhaps it has a nautical theme—the round window in the door is thoughtfully designed too, making it a cute shop. That said, the bread naturally comes at 手紙舎 prices…a little high. I had already had lunch at 手紙舎2nd STORY and visited the café at the main shop, so I entered far too full and nothing tempted my appetite. I just bought sandwich bread for 490円 for tomorrow's breakfast. When I explained this at the register, the staff member smiled and said, that is perfectly fine♪ It felt very welcoming; a lovely staff member. The sandwich bread was rather dense and heavy when toasted. It is substantial and certainly tasty. But for 490円, there are bakeries with better bread…if the sandwich bread is like this, I can more or less imagine the other breads too, so everyone's reviews must be those of bread lovers. Also, why is the wheat flavor somehow faint? I felt that the smell of bread inside was weak for a BAKERY too, and perhaps it was not just because I was full or imagining things. It is a bit of a waste, given what a lovely atmosphere the bakery has・・・ It seems to have only just opened in 2026.2, and I hope the bread will be refined to become more delicious. But if this is the flavor the owner likes, it might become "a shop supported by people who like 手紙舎" rather than people who love bread itself… Ultimately, I hope 手紙舎 itself does not end up being a shop that appeals only to people who already like 手紙舎…
View on GoogleA bakery inside 神代団地 where time passes quietly and peacefully. It is a new shop from 手紙舎, well known in this area and also operating a café nearby. Set in a corner of a long-established housing complex, the interior and exterior feel somehow nostalgic and warm, a stylish space characteristic of 手紙舎. This time I wanted to see what kinds of bread they had. Although it was the weekend, there was a good variety, which was nice. Unfortunately, though, almost none of the breads were individually wrapped. With hotter weather ahead, that raises various concerns. The mentaiko bread seems popular too, and the freshly baked curry bread looked delicious, but I tried buying an unusual-looking bagel combining coffee and cream cheese. The dough was not rock-hard, but slightly plump. There was a small amount of cream cheese inside, more like a light accent, and surprisingly it went well with the coffee flavor—a curious taste. The surroundings are green too, so on a fine day, it seems pleasant to eat the bread right away in a nearby park or square.
View on GoogleFirst visit on 7/10 I had been curious about it for a while and finally managed to visit. I bought 4 breads to start with. There are so many varieties and they all look delicious, so it is hard to choose🤤 Many seem suited to nibbling with wine, so I thought the selection would make drinkers happy🍷 Impressions ・The ベーコンサンドパン has fragrant, crispy bacon, is substantial, goes very well with red wine, and tastes great. ・The 胡椒の塩パン is delicious, with the spiciness providing a nice accent. ・The 焼きカレーパン is not fried, so the dough and filling are light and easy to eat—GOOD👍 ・The いちごサンドパン uses crusty bread dough, so it is firm and felt perhaps more suited to adults. The strawberry cream is rich and delicious.
View on Google手紙舎 was founded by an owner who used to be a magazine editor. The company, which runs cafés and bookstores, opened this bakery in February 2026. In a stylish shop on the 1st floor of a retro housing complex about a 10-minute walk from つつじヶ丘 station, you find simple breads that were clearly made with care. They said the selection was limited during the pre-opening period, but they still seemed to have the classics, such as melon pan, curry pan, and salt bread. They also seem to source smoked products from 成城城田工房, so there may be substantial breads such as hot dogs to look forward to (the number of products appears limited just after opening and at similar times). It was a shop that made me really look forward to seeing what breads would be added after the official opening.
