We went around 1ish on a Saturday afternoon. Wanted to go as I saw this place on a tv show a few years ago. Wasn’t disappointed at all. The food was really really good. Good portion sizes and they had rugby on the screen too. It wasn’t busy when we went so it was easy I get a seat. The staff were really nice and welcoming. Couldn’t see an English menu though, but well worth trying!
View on GoogleLocated around the middle of the 調布銀座 shopping street. The well-used chalkboard advertising recommended lunches for 990円 and so on gives it the feel of a long-established place. The menu looks filling, with combinations like a rice bowl and half ramen. Inside are tables of various sizes, perhaps around 25 seats. I ordered the Taipei soboro rice bowl and half ramen set. My companion had the hoikoro rice bowl set. The half ramen is bean sprout shoyu ramen. The bowl is half-sized, but there's about a full serving of noodles. The meat is more like the pork belly on Okinawa soba than chashu. I think the soboro bowl uses minced chicken, with plenty of meat and strong aromatics that make the rice go down easily. It's not spicy, so I added chili oil and pepper to change the flavor as I ate. The hoikoro has a rich tianmianjiang sauce, and the pork and cabbage go well together. The portions here are already large, but there was one formidable woman ordering a large serving for an extra 110円. It certainly is tasty. You can pay with PayPay. Both the flavor and value were good.
View on GoogleHad chahan and hiyashi chuka Not crowded, quick, delicious—nothing to complain about! Next time I want to try the kata yakisoba and ebi chili!
View on GoogleA neighborhood Chinese restaurant with Taiwanese-style food. I guess most customers come here for drinks. I went alone for a meal and just made it, with 1 seat left! The chahan looked tasty, so I ordered the gizzard chahan. It was quite strongly seasoned and delicious. 1,100円 might be a little expensive… There were various small dishes too, so it looked like a good place for drinks. With so many drinking customers, it's pretty lively inside.
View on GoogleI've been able to get in without lining up when I go at opening time for lunch or dinner… but depending on your timing, you'll have to queue to get into this delicious neighborhood Chinese restaurant.
