立ち呑み 山寅Tachi Nomi Yama Tora
A cozy place where we can say "welcome back" to each other, like coming home. A fun standing bar with little surprises built into every detail.

On Sundays they open at 13:00, so I visited for some daytime drinking. When it comes to standing bars in Sengawa, there was "Banpei," a place I loved and went to several times, but it seems to have closed, which is a real shame. It's a ticket-purchase system, and I bought 3000 yen worth. The menu is a flat 300 yen and 600 yen. For drinks I got the Hoppy black set for 600 yen. I added the naka (shochu refill) twice at 300 yen. The katsuo tataki was 600 yen, and the shumai skewer and mini pizza were 300 yen. None were bad, just normally tasty. Added the motsu-ni. At 600 yen, that made exactly 3000 yen. This one, made with red wine and red miso, was outstanding. A slightly rich but delicious broth. The motsu was tasty too, and even at 600 yen it's not expensive. The food quality seems quietly high. I'd like to come again for daytime drinking when I have Sunday off.
View on GoogleHmm... First of all, the service is kind of meh... Is this a place that runs smoothly thanks to the regulars?... It might be fine for a quick drink, but the snacks are so-so and the drinks are 600 yen too, so it's on the pricey side for a standing bar. Hmm... When I said "thank you for the meal" on the way out, the female staff member didn't say anything and just glared at me. Huh? I mean, that's where you say "thank you very much," right? I thought, and got a bit of a culture shock. Is it because this is Chofu City?? Is this that tsundere-style service that's trendy these days... Those of you with a masochistic streak, please give it a visit. Oh, by the way, I'm not a masochist, so I won't be visiting~.
View on GoogleAfter entering, you buy tickets from the ticket machine (cash) or via other electronic payments (through the staff), and exchange them for items. Drinks are 600 yen each with a light blue ticket, and snacks come as 300 yen white-ticket items or 600 yen light blue ones; if you buy a 3000 yen black ticket and order one drink, you get 4 light blue 600 yen tickets as change. You order by writing on the paper on the table. For drinks you can choose Takara Shochu or Shari-Kin. Hoppy comes in white and black too, and you can get refills of the naka and soto for a 300 yen white ticket each. The food is all delicious too, with a homemade warmth. The appeal is the wide range of the menu, from small bites to dishes you can fill up on. The speed menu (takeout) placed right in front of the kitchen and the blackboard menu also change daily, which is fun. You can also just use it for takeout! It's lively with regulars, but they're kind to newcomers too. The staff are friendly and kind, and it's a place with a fun atmosphere. There's Wi-Fi, and e-cigarettes are allowed, so you can stay comfortably. I'm looking forward to going again!
View on GoogleEntered around 16:00, there were 3 regulars They brought out chairs for elderly customers The food is delicious The combination of motsu nikomi and garlic toast in particular is interesting An interesting system where you buy with 600 yen or 300 yen tickets At first I thought the drinks were a bit pricey, but they make them with frozen Kinmiya and there's no ice, so you get plenty and the flavor is rich
