A soba restaurant where many people eat katsudon. That day I had a large zaru soba with an extra order of salt-grilled duck. The duck meat is delicious. The soba has a nice bite and suits my taste too. Even the large serving went down easily. I would be happier with a little more green onion and wasabi, though… Prices are on the high side, so many customers seem calm and composed, which also leaves a good impression on me.
View on GoogleA walk of just under 10 minutes from Kokuryo Station toward Komae brought me to the soba restaurant 星月 at lunchtime. It was my first visit, and when I entered, three tables on the 1st floor were occupied. I wondered to myself, is this all the seating? But the 2nd floor I was shown to had tatami and table seating, so that was the main area. I ordered the lunch set・マグロ付け御飯 for 1150 yen; the slightly firm rice went well with the marinated tuna. The soba was delicious, just as its reputation suggested. I regretted not ordering a large soba.
View on GoogleVisited on someone’s recommendation. A very clean, lovely restaurant with 3 tables on the 1st floor and apparently a 2nd floor too. The 1st floor has a glass-enclosed soba-making area. Dipping udon with fried eggplant and young chicken was 1,040 yen, and tempura seiro soba was 1,650 yen (tax included). The soba has a good bite and lovely dashi flavor. The tempura has a thin coating and great texture, and the shrimp are thick too; excellent. The udon is fairly thin but firm. The dipping broth is delicious too. An excellent restaurant in both taste and price. They also have snacks to go with drinks.
View on GoogleThe thin, flat soba goes down refreshingly and is very delicious. The soba aroma is not particularly strong, but it works well with the rich dipping sauce. The tempura is crispy and not heavy. The duck dipping broth is just right, neither too salty nor too sweet. Acrylic partitions are thoroughly installed throughout the restaurant, showing care for COVID precautions too. The staff have a pleasant manner, and it is a restaurant I want to revisit.
