The nearest station is 京王多摩川駅 on 京王相模原線. The retro Showa atmosphere is heartwarming (*´-`) Maybe this was my first visit to 喫茶みよし. No, I might have visited over 20 years ago. Just after noon on a weekday, an open sign was hanging up, so I peeked in and there was the grandmother (*^ω^) There’s a well-worn taiyaki machine by the window. Apparently, a little over 10 years ago, this place was also ranked the number １ taiyaki shop by 「タイヤキスト」, who is said to eat more taiyaki than anyone else in Japan. It really knows its stuff ((o(^∇^)o)) ◆Today’s order◆ たい焼き　150円 Discount　－50円 Normally 150円 for １ fish, but this seemed to be the last １ left unsold that day, so she let me have it for 100円. It was during GW and all the other shops were closed, but this one was open, so I stopped by. Taiyaki is their main offering, but I was there for a meal, so I had yakisoba. It was simple yakisoba with a fried egg, but the grandmother worked hard to make it, and it was delicious. Next time I’ll go for taiyaki◎

A shop with a retro atmosphere I went for taiyaki, but the machine wasn’t working properly, so I couldn’t have any. Since I was already there, I had ブルーハワイ shaved ice instead! The shaved ice was fluffy, and there was syrup at the bottom of the bowl, so it was delicious to the very end! It was piled high in the bowl, so sharing between two people might be good?? Next time I really want to eat taiyaki.

I went to buy some just after noon on a weekday! They’re made by a grandmother who’s been making taiyaki for 40 years! The shell is thin and crisp, and the bean paste isn’t too sweet! One costs 150円. Delicious! When I said, “One, please!” she put it in white wrapping paper. This kind of thing is nice too!
