S [must try / 一定要吃到] · honestly its one of the best oknomiyaki restaurant in japan and its only 1100 Yen as of March 2025 · ordered the seafood combo and it was the best CP value (also i see everyone order this here) · it was packed with lettuce and slices of pork belly + seafood such as squid and shrimp · love the udon option here · mostly only locals eat here (so you know its authentic) · cooks right in front of you · owner and wife are so wholesome (really appreciate the friendly service here) · the only bad was the edges of the teppanyaki looked black and uncleaned for years · cash only as expected for a small family restaurant tldr: hidden gem must come

A local Okonomiyaki Izakaya place.

On my way back from a super sento, there was an okonomiyaki shop with a nice atmosphere, so I stopped by. The staff's vibe and service were kind and wonderful! Okonomiyaki Special 1540 yen Yaki udon with pork and squid 770 yen Pork shiso yaki 660 yen It's Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and for the special you could choose oysters or scallops, so I chose oysters. Somehow there was wakame in it, an ingredient I'd never had before, but the seasoning was light and tasty. There's sauce and mayonnaise on the table, so I guess you adjust the strength yourself? The other dishes were good too.
