I chose this place according to the review. It was up the steep hill, in front of the botanical garden's rear entrance a bit away from the main street and had no queue!. I was very happy with the atmosphere. There were 2 restaurants next to each other so I would try the other one next time! This place was very inviting with a lovely outdoor seating with a good menu, not just soba. I ordered jyuwari soba, meaning noodles with no flour, 100% soba flour with tempura for 2100 yen. They offer Soba-yu which is water used to cook soba in, mixed with the dipping sauce after finishing the noodles and drink it. They have dessert as well 😋 I really enjoyed my lunch here!
View on GoogleWe went to this traditional soba noodle restaurant before taking our dog to the Jindaiji dog run. We waited for about 15-20 minutes because most of the others soba noodle restaurants nearby were shut for the afternoon break. Dogs are allowed on the ground at the outdoor seats. They offered water to my dog as we were seated. We ordered cold soba, grilled chicken skewers and a fried fish skewer. For dessert, we ordered soba doughs in sweetened red bean paste. It came with so savoury pickles to balance the sweetness on your palate. Such a cute place. Recommended if you visit Jindaiji.
View on GoogleWaited 40 minutes on Sunday noontime. Was really busy in the area but was content with the soba! Staff were nice and there were English instructions for foreigners.
View on GoogleThe texture of the soba was great and lovely. Definitely fresh soba. The vibes were great as well with an outdoor fire.
View on GoogleQuite expensive for the kind of food we got. The food takes ages to arrive. The tempura was so oily we ended up with indigestion for 8+hours. Will not go back.
