We went here on a weekday and it was so peaceful. The Classy Old lady was the one taking the orders and serving them as well was very graceful and kind. Food was great and portions are more than enough to satisfy you. Wil definitely eat here again when we are in the area.

a small and good soba restaurant. IMO, this restaurant is one of the best soba restaurant around Jindaiji-temple.

For my money, the best soba in Tokyo - and for a reasonable price. Personal recommendation: go for the Ebi (shrimp) tempura soba, and ask for it 'tsumetai' (cold). Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The shop has become a New Year's tradition for me and my partner, but be forewarned: during the busy holiday and festival seasons, it becomes very packed and you'll likely find yourself waiting in line for at least 30 minutes to an hour before getting in. One way of dodging most of the crowds during the busy times is to have an early lunch (around 11am). Outside of the busy seasons, you're likely to get a seat straightaway.

I had an amazing time on December 31st. Duck soba was excellent.
