Probably the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been to. We sat down but decided not to order any food after seeing the state of the place. Instead, we just shared a sealed bottle of beer. The staff were friendly enough, but the atmosphere felt a bit off.

I enjoyed my soba. The setting was quaint, and the service was good.

5/3/2026 Lunch. When I went to Jindaiji, I decided on a soba lunch, but even though I arrived before 11 o'clock, every shop had about 50 people lining up. I worshipped at Jindaiji, gave up on soba and went to Jindai Botanical Gardens, and on the way along the slope next to Jindaiji, I found a menu sign. The inside of the shop was almost full, but since no one was lining up, I entered without thinking much. About 8 tables? It seems like one person is managing it and no one is eating, so everyone seems to be waiting for the food to come out. Sat by the glass window next to the entrance, the ceiling above the next table had fallen and the surroundings didn't seem to be cleaned... The pitcher on the table was full of dust, and the glasses didn't seem to be washed properly and stains were visible. For a moment I thought about leaving, but I endured and waited for the food. Ordered mori soba with tororo, if I look at the dirtiness of the inside of the shop, what about the kitchen (scary!). I think there are many shops that are old but are cleaned properly and in a clean state, but this shop felt like it didn't do anything at all. When we went out, about 20 people were lining up. Even if I go to Jindaiji, I won't come again.

As a Jindaiji soba fan, I dare to make a complaint. Please, don't think that eating soba here is 'Jindaiji soba'! This is not Jindaiji soba. For me who has loved Jindaiji soba for many years, visited many times, and introduced it to friends and family, the taste of this 'Ichifuku Chaya' was completely unacceptable. Even though it is listed in the Jindaiji Soba Association. There are currently about 18 Jindaiji soba shops in Jindaiji. There are many shops that serve truly delicious Jindaiji soba such as 'Monzen', 'Ikkyuan', 'Matsuba Chaya', 'Tamano-ya'. Please visit there. Other shops each have a rich personality and are wonderful, but Ichifuku Chaya's soba was not firm, to the point where I thought it would be better to boil it myself. This time I ate cold 'tororo soba' and '5-color soba'. Ingredients such as mountain vegetables, tororo, seaweed, etc., I got the impression that they were made in advance. What bothered me the most was the quail egg that was on both soba. A smell like a rotten smell, the smell of damaged protein pierced my nose, and I lost my appetite. Usually I don't leave food no matter how bad it is, but this time I really couldn't finish it. Because of the good location, I am worried that people who eat Jindaiji soba for the first time will enter by mistake and misunderstand that 'Jindaiji soba is like this'. Similar opinions are seen in other reviews, it is very unfortunate. For the sake of the future of Jindaiji soba, I dare to give a strict evaluation. If other shops are crowded and you really need to buy something, I highly recommend sticking to canned juice or PET bottled drinks. Eating should be avoided.

The inside of the shop is too dirty! There were spider webs on the edge of the table, and the dust cloth placed on the tray where the glasses were placed, from when was that? It was full of dust and placed with the mouth of the glass facing down, so I didn't want to use it even more. In front of the seat near the entrance, an ashtray containing cigarette butts was just placed, is this a shop that allows smoking? And the soba is not delicious... there is no firmness or aroma, is it soba sold in stores? It felt a bit sour, and after returning home I had a stomach ache... The soba sauce was also severe, a thin noodle sauce. The owner is also, well, maybe not a bad person, but a very strange person... It was scary because he gave a marble to my 1-year-old child. (Maybe the one attached to ramune? it was wet) I put it down gently and went home.
