Ikkenme What a lovely name After photographing a property in Tsutsujigaoka, I discovered this restaurant and visited for lunch for the first time. Going against the times, you can smoke inside. Lunch for 800 yen is unbelievably good value( *´艸｀) On a first visit, I make a point of ordering the top item on the menu, so I asked for the mugitoro set. Tororo is great, isn't it? I really love it. Lots of small side dishes and nameko miso soup, all for this price. Wonderful. The sashimi eaten with tororo on top of the rice was superb. Next time I'll have the redfish marinated in sake lees. Thank you for the meal. I'll visit again.

A woody interior with a traditional folk-craft feel. Wood-plank tables, wood-plank flooring. Every time someone passed behind me, there were creaks and vibrations. All set meals 800 yen. ■Young chicken tatsuta-age set 800 yen There were quite a few dishes for the price. Seasoned blanched bean sprouts and komatsuna. Simmered daikon and carrots. The rice was barley rice. The tofu miso soup was very lightly flavored. Chicken tatsuta-age served on a flat square plate. 5 bite-sized pieces. A moist coating, tender and juicy thigh meat. The strong ginger, soy sauce, and garlic seasoning made the barley rice go down well. The accompanying cabbage and thinly sliced cucumber had Chinese-style dressing on them. A set meal that seems nutritionally balanced, and at 800 yen it's a great bargain!! If only the miso soup were delicious…, such a shame.

My wife was away, so I stopped by on my way home from work. They said they served set meals even at night, so I ordered the young chicken tatsuta-age set (800 yen) and draft beer (300 yen!). For this price, they served the main dish, barley rice, side dishes, and even miso soup, all with very gentle seasoning. At the table behind me, regulars were happily chatting about golf, and the homey atmosphere was lovely too.

The set meals are 800 yen, very delicious, and come with lots of small side dishes. Unbelievable value. Highly recommended! By the way, I always order the “salt-grilled mackerel set.

Visited again after a long time. My usual “mugitoro set”: tororo, sashimi, simmered dishes, chilled tofu, pickles, furikake, miso soup. A １００％ Japanese set meal, thoroughly enjoyed it(≧∇≦)
