🏮 Hachikin - A Korean home-style cooking restaurant with red lanterns lit in the alleys of Shibasaki 🌶️ This is an izakaya located in an alley right near Shibasaki Station on the Keio Line, in Kikunodai, Chofu City, Tokyo. On my way home, I passed by it before 8 PM on a rainy night. Red lanterns hung from the white-tiled building, and there were handmade signs on the windows with welcoming words written in Korean. It's a unique entrance that mixes the design of a Japanese izakaya with a Korean atmosphere. The blackboard outside was quite extensive. Homemade kimchi is 650 yen, changja is 680 yen, Korean cold tofu is 550 yen, Korean salad and gogi mandu are 750 yen. For warm dishes, there's yangnyeom chicken and beef tendon vegetable stir-fry for 900 yen, tteokbokki for 800 yen, and Korean skewered oden for 700 yen. Bulgogi is 1,000 yen, sundubu jjigae is 1,200 yen, and samgyetang is 2,500 yen. The signature dish is the homemade kimchi, for which the owner learned the recipe from her mother, and it is said to be made by hand from scratch using chili peppers for kimchi and salted shrimp. The interior seen through the window had wooden tables and an unpretentious design. There were signs of preparation behind the counter, and the smell of steam and garlic drifted faintly to the rain-soaked alley. On the windowsill were an aquarium and houseplants, outside were planters with red flowers, and several bicycles were parked. The surrounding area is a small corner of restaurants with ramen shops and standing bars. 🌀 Some points of concern. The blackboard outside was partially faded, making it difficult to read the prices in some places. Since it's mentioned that there are other menus inside the store, you can't judge just by the board outside. Since it operates on irregular holidays, it's safer to check by phone if you're planning to go. It's open from evening until 11 PM, and it's not set up for lunch. Recommended for those who want to drink with homemade kimchi, or those looking for an unpretentious shop around Shibasaki Station. 🌟Overall rating: ★3.3 / 5.0

It's super delicious and cheap! I originally liked Korean food and happened to be nearby, so I stopped by without any particular expectations, but I was surprised because it was so delicious. I've visited about 4 times so far, and everything I eat is really delicious. Samgyeopsal and bossam, if you eat them at a restaurant in the city center, you have to order 2 servings or it's expensive, but it's unbelievable that it's under 1000 yen here.. Personally, I recommend the bossam and garlic fried rice. It seems like a shop that a married couple has been running for over 20 years, and the atmosphere is very lovely. Even if you don't drink alcohol, you are charged for the otoshi, but since the food is cheap, it doesn't bother me that much. I've become a fan of this shop to the point where I want to conquer the whole menu. I'll be back.

A lovely shop run by a Korean wife and a Japanese husband. Of course there is Korean food, but there is also Japanese food. Jajangmyeon was delicious and had a good volume. Homemade kimchi was spicy and different from the kimchi sold at Japanese supermarkets, it was delicious. Also, both of them are friendly and sometimes talk to you, so it's comfortable and it seems there are many regulars. There is a counter, so you can go alone. Business hours are basically from 17:00 to around 23:30, but if there are few customers, they close around 22:30, so it's not a shop to go to very late.

A shop run by a friendly Korean owner and her Japanese husband who is in charge of cooking. I think people who like it will really like it. But the food is just average.
