The best ramen in Sengawa station I have ever had (Sengawa Jiro is also the greatest of course) and definitely keeps a low profile in spite of its quality. The taste is simple and decent. I had a wantan-men which cost 1,000 yen which was a relatively expensive but you still have 5 wantan in it… I would order the standard one next time.
View on GoogleIt's a nice Shina-soba restaurant. (Not ramen) Soy sauce based soup in which we could feel robust fish taste. The noodle itself is also nice egg based one.
View on GoogleThe location and storefront are a bit hard to find, but when I went at lunchtime there were quite a lot of customers. Inside there's only counter seating, and the owner, who seems like a quiet, stubborn old guy, does the cooking. I heard the wonton noodles are famous, so I ordered a large serving. The soup was a bit on the salty side, but it had a gentle finish like old-fashioned chicken-bone soy sauce. What stands out is the wontons: thin skins packed tightly with a generous filling, giving them a three-dimensional feel. And they don't skimp, there are plenty of them, so it was quite filling. The chashu is the red kind you see in Chinese restaurants, and it's a nice accent. At first it looked about the size of a regular serving, but as I ate, there turned out to be a solid amount of noodles.
View on GoogleThe recommended wonton noodles were delicious. Seafood soup with snappy thin noodles. The chashu is the kind that gets tastier as you chew it. The wontons are packed with all kinds of filling. Lots of menma, wontons, and green onions too, very satisfying. Thanks for the meal😋.
View on GoogleI recommend the wonton noodles (if you want something hearty, wonton chashu noodles). Not flat ones, but 7 or 8 teru teru bozu-shaped wontons. The chewy skin and umami-packed filling are delicious. This alone fills you up, so be careful with the large size. Niboshi soup can end up smelling of ammonia if done poorly, but here there's no off smell at all. An orthodox, light-style ramen. The gyoza is good too. I'm also curious about the shumai the person next to me ordered. The entrance doesn't face the road, so it's hard to find. Maybe because of that, even at lunchtime there were no customers other than us. Finally a young couple and an older woman came in. It's a mystery that a place this delicious isn't crowded.
