Great soba noodles with a very good dipping sauce. Tempura was also amazing. However they are not baby friendly: we saw another group being sent away saying the restaurant doesn't accept groups with babies.

Good soba. The quality of food is good. It only accepts cash. That’s why removing one star. The door looks heavy, which is partially why it looks not inviting. But the staff was friendly. Note that babies are not allowed, which is fine because it’s their choice but makes me feel sad not comfortable tbh. The price point is a bit higher than average soba restaurants but I couldn’t feel anything particularly superior. That said, the taste was pretty good. If you want to go in to the botanical garden nearby, it’s for sure convenient.

They serve really nice soba noodles. I enjoy soba in this restaurant. Note that they do not serve Just dai-ji style soba. Anyway, the taste of their soba is very nice. They have 4 or 5 tables and about 5 seats in the counter. The parking space is small. It can accommodates only 1 or 2 cars. Your can order beer and sake. In dinnertime, a table charge (お通し, about 300 yen) is imposed.

A different flavor from the soba shops in Jindaiji Thinly cut, fragrant soba With a sharp, salty dipping sauce rich in bonito flakes Exactly to my taste The nishin no bōni was delicious too One more thing to look forward to when visiting Jindai Botanical Gardens

When I visited Jindaiji to pray over the weekend, I naturally felt like having soba and came here. All the shops near Jindaiji had lines right from opening, but this place is a little farther away, so even though it was before noon, I was seated immediately. Inside are a few counter seats and tables. It feels relatively new and clean. It's quiet, with a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered tenmori this time. Without much of a wait, they first brought the assorted tempura, followed by the cold soba. The tempura included shrimp, vegetables, and mushrooms, all truly freshly fried, piping hot and crispy, and so delicious! I had it with salt. The soba was also nicely chilled and firm, and went down smoothly. It was so tasty I finished it in no time. Tenmori was 1800円, with a sufficient portion and this level of flavor, I was satisfied! When I visited, there was 1 person cooking and 1 serving, but the soba cooking water arrived at just the right time too. The service was efficient and pleasant. I've visited several soba shops in front of the temple gate, but they're always crowded with a wait, and looking back, I wonder whether they were really that delicious. When I come to Jindaiji for soba, I'll definitely come here again. It's near the Jindai Botanical Gardens bus stop, with buses to Chofu, Mitaka, and Kichijoji. It's a bit of a walk to Jindaiji, but I think it's easy to visit if you take the bus here on your way there or back. There's space for a few bicycles in front of the shop and parking for one car. It seems children must be junior high school age or older, so keep that in mind.
