Fantastic service and meals! Had a 7 meals course in one of their private rooms, which was sophisticated (they made mine a full vegan!) All the staff was very trained - especially one of the gentlemen was very knowledgeable of literally anything about the restaurant, from the origin of each food that was served to its history. I loved their plates too, including ontayaki! Would definitely love to come back.
View on GoogleBusiness dinner for 4 persons on a Thursday night. Lovely private room with privacy sliding door. Beautifully designed and created menu heavily influenced by the cuisine of Oita in Kyushu. Beer and Sake accompanied the meal. Service was attentive and well paced. David W, July 2025

View on GoogleA restaurant at Oita's regional showcase shop in Ginza. I visited expecting a typical regional showcase shop, but the stone floor and calm design right from the entrance made it a lovely restaurant with much more atmosphere than I'd imagined. The interior has a Japanese character with just the right touch of luxury, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely meal. I'd strongly associated Oita with shochu, but apparently there are many sake breweries too, and inside was a whole lineup of Japanese sake I'd never seen. As a sake lover, that sight immediately got me excited. I ordered the lunch set that day. It included both meat and fish, with a pleasing selection that let me sample a little of Oita's ingredients at a time. What particularly stood out was the “鱶(ふか)のロースト バターソース”. Fuka apparently means shark, which surprised me a little when they explained the dish, but it had hardly any strong taste, paired beautifully with the rich butter sauce, and was very delicious. The accompanying taro was also tender and gently flavored. Every dish was carefully prepared, with flavors that would be difficult to recreate at home. It was a lunch that really conveyed Oita's ingredients and food culture. With its calm atmosphere, I think this would also be a good place for a leisurely meal or a dining gathering.
