Best yakitori in Japan. All the great skewer choices you expect, and done exceptionally well. I had chicken thigh, gizzards, meatball, neck and a lamb spicy skewer with pickles and a creme brulee for dessert. That was unexpected! Nice calm atmosphere and close to Yodobashi and all the main shoos here. A little slow in service but fantastic in all other areas.
View on GoogleYakiniku Yamano is a fantastic spot for anyone craving high-quality yakiniku in Tokyo. From the moment we arrived, the service was welcoming, and they were able to seat us right away, which made the experience even more convenient. The steak was incredibly tender and packed with flavor — it practically melted in your mouth with every bite. Each piece was grilled perfectly at the table, letting you enjoy it fresh and hot. The restaurant clearly takes pride in the quality of their meats, and it really shows. The atmosphere is casual yet comfortable, making it a great place for both a quick meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. Overall, Yakiniku Yamano is a must-visit for yakiniku lovers, offering delicious meat, efficient service, and a satisfying dining experience.
View on GoogleAdvance warning, they highly recommend a reservation most nights. Otherwise you may get turned away. That being said there were a number of good options to eat from. You can normally get away for eating for less. To me to get the best bang for your buck order one of the sets in the middle of the menu. Basically a buffet and they only charge about 5,000 yen for it. Lots of options for meat and it is quite tasty.
View on GoogleI don’t know if they are paying for reviews or what but I’ll give my honest opinion. First of all, they seated us at a table, then moved us to the counter. Water was dripping from the ac all over our plates and our clothes it is absolutely unsanitary and disgusting. It was only after complaining that they moved us to another table. I find it hard to believe that the shop manager doesn’t realize his AC is leaking water all over his customers. I don’t know if it is ignorance or stupidity but whatever Moving on to the food: absolute garbage. Worst yakiniku we ever ate in Japan by far. I think if you aren’t a barbarian and actually have normal functioning taste buds you’d quickly realize this too. 上ミノ was decent but nothing special. The staff were polite and apologetic about our experience.
View on GoogleFinally got in the restaurant our second time (better to make a reservation beforehand for dinner)! Rating it 2.5, not that anything was bad, just that we know much better places than this. The 곰탕국밥 comtan-kupap was the best thing we ordered that evening. The meat was … mediocre… I wouldn’t recommend the hormone, for some reason it tasted bitter … Anyways, I don’t want to be too harsh on them. it’s a cozy place (fits only 5 groups) and close to the station.
