The 3rd Japanese branch of Singapore café 「ヤクンカヤトースト(Ya Kun Kaya Toast)」, a kaya toast specialist originating in Singapore! Recommended for anyone looking for lunch near Tokyo International Forum!! 「ヤクンカヤトースト」 is a beloved kaya toast brand with a long history dating back to its founding in 1944. Kaya toast is a signature Singaporean breakfast and a type of local soul food, with toasted bread sandwiching a paste called kaya jam (made from eggs, sugar, coconut milk, and other ingredients)♪ Sets come with onsen eggs and a coffee called Kopi containing sweet, rich condensed milk…

I am a regular patronise Ya Kun customer in Singapore. Compare the quality of the food here, I am a bit disappointed. Firstly, the set is different from the offer in Singapore. Only I egg is serve and serve cold. dine in use plastic cup for the coffee instead of the usual porcelain cup use in Singapore. The toast is also not the same, the bread is much thicker and crispiness is not expected. The taste is something that still within my expectations and credit has to go to the red bead toast ( we don’t have it in Singapore). Coffee does not have the Nayang coffee taste, I can’t taste the coffee flavour.

A perfect slice of Singapore in Tokyo! The Kaya Toast is wonderfully crispy, and the Kopi is authentic and bold. It’s the ultimate spot for a quick, nostalgic breakfast or a unique coffee break near Yurakucho Station. Must-try: Set A (Kaya Toast, Soft-Boiled Eggs, and Coffee).

I feel this is the best Ya Kun I've had outside of Singapore. I've tried ones in Taiwan, Jakarta and the Philippines, and they just aren't made with the right mix of kaya and butter. This Ya Kun in Tokyo is the closest I've had to Singapore. They even have a Japan limited edition menu.

Every time I miss Singapore, I come here to enjoy kaya toast and coffee. This time, I had lunch instead. You can choose a sandwich and a drink, and kaya toast comes with the set.

Felt really as though we are back in Singapore at this Tokyo branch with the kaya butter toast, half boiled egg and hot beverage. 99% similarities down to the tray return point, tables & chairs, well done!
