Food was good. Service was good. Cute little hole-in-the-wall place.
View on GoogleFor my first lunch here, I got a bento. The shogayaki bento was ¥550, and I added +¥50 for a large serving. You can choose 1 complimentary item from miso soup, a boiled egg, or Yakult. The shogayaki wasn't too strongly seasoned, came in a generous portion, and was delicious. A large bento with a complimentary item at this price. I'll definitely come again. They also serve lunch inside. The bentos are good value with plenty of options, such as shogayaki with aji fry for ¥600. Recommended.
View on GoogleWe came in around 7 on Thursday evening. There were only 2 other groups of customers, so it was quiet. The Google rating wasn't very high and there weren't many customers, so I was worried, but I couldn't find anything bad enough to explain the low rating. The only downside was that some dishes were slightly too strongly seasoned, but considering the low prices, that seems fair enough. It also seems smoking is allowed, so I'd definitely recommend it to smokers.
View on GoogleDaily donburi for 860円, with soba and oyakodon. Overall, hmm, it felt a bit underwhelming. Neither the noodles nor the broth of the hot soba had any particular character, and the portion felt slightly small. The eggs in the oyakodon were like scrambled eggs, which left me staring in disbelief; I'd never seen that before. It tasted fairly decent compared with how it looked! But I wouldn't want it again. Was it made ahead? Is that why they scramble the eggs? When I left at 12:10, about 10 office workers were lining up to buy takeout bentos.
View on GoogleI had the grilled fish set for lunch. I was happy with grilled fish, shogayaki, and the like for 850円, but the first sip of miso soup was abnormally salty, and the next was sour. My colleague had the same reaction. A miso soup that ruins everything. I thought I'd definitely be returning, but I probably won't.
