We visited this Japanese but our experience was quite disappointing. From the very beginning, the interaction with the owner was uncomfortable. In an attempt to get my attention, he touched me in an unnecessarily manner, which made me feel very uneasy. It was completely inappropriate—especially coming from the owner himself. Throughout the meal, we also noticed an unpleasant attitude from him clearly directed at us for being foreigners. He made faces and displayed dismissive expressions that made us feel unwelcome and judged. It was a discriminatory attitude that further tainted our experience. The food was good , but nothing that could justify what happened next. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to find prices that didn’t match what was listed on the menu. When we asked about it,. We also specifically asked if there was any table charge, and were told there wasn’t—but upon checking the receipt, we saw that an unjustified extra fee had been added. It’s a shame, because the place might have potential, but the lack of price transparency, the inappropriate behavior from the owner, and the treatment mean I would not recommend this restaurant, nor do I have any intention of returning.

It was ok. Very affordable with huge volume. But wouldn’t expect something super amazing. Flavors were slightly bland.

Visited for lunch. It's an old-fashioned neighborhood diner in the old downtown area. Quite a few people came to buy bento too. There were plenty of seats for dining in, so I could sit comfortably. I ordered the A定食 written on the blackboard. It arrived in under 10 minutes. The main dishes were menchi katsu and stir-fried pork. Having small side dishes and vegetables was nice because I could enjoy a variety of things. The bad part was that the pork smelled.

It had that neighborhood set-meal diner feel, which was nice! The taste was nostalgic, but the atmosphere was even more so. Maybe I'll stop by again when I'm nearby.

A hidden gem on a backstreet. It had a multinational feel, which was fun~ The yakiniku was affordable too, which was nice. I ate my fill.
