◎ is an izakaya in a traditional house, a 1-minute walk from Suidobashi Station. As an Italian izakaya, it offers wine and charcoal-grilled food. From charcoal-grilled lunches made with carefully selected ingredients to dinner, it accommodates a variety of occasions. A former “used bookstore” converted into a “charcoal grill and wine bar,” the interior has the calm atmosphere of an adult hideaway. It's also a comfortable space for girls' get-togethers, dates, and lunch.

We visited a stylish Italian restaurant in Suidobashi. I had been curious about this restaurant and came here at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very warm and very nice. It was fun just looking at the menu, which featured dishes from a book. We had a variety of dishes, but the most delicious one was the char-grilled Japanese black beef from Kumamoto Prefecture! The tenderness of the meat combined with the truffle sauce was delicious. I highly recommend ordering this dish!
View on GoogleIt was quite unique and entertaining restaurant that renovated the old book store. It’s famous for its grilled dish. We ordered the grilled chicken with grilled veggies on the side. Chicken was cooked rare nicely and the vegetables were slightly burnt to add a smokey flavor. Their charcuterie was fantastic, and I suggest everyone to try it. It has table seat on the second floor but I personally like the vibe of counter seats on the first floor more.
View on GoogleA renovated restaurant originally built as a book store. It felt warm and cozy yet stylish. I enjoyed staying there a lot but the food they served was terribly solty. I think I just visited bad time?
View on GoogleAn old-fashioned restaurant where you can enjoy dishes from the manga and books. For lunch, the 'outrageous ginger yaki' is served for 1,800 yen, with an optional 'cuatro cheese sauce'. The ginger yaki is an unusual style where the meat is cooked for a whole day to make it tender, and the flavour is restaurant-style and sweet. The taste is restaurant-style and sweet, and changes to a Western style when the cuatro cheese sauce is added. The dinner time menu is also interesting and worth a visit.
