Absolutely fantastic fish restaurant. The mackerel was beautifully prepared & very tasty. Only 1 dish available when we arrived, and that was the fried fillet set for about 1900yen. Very filling, served was a raw egg, some carrot, cabbage & miso soup. They have sushi mackerel but were sold out when we visited. Service was fast, friendly & efficient. Our lack of language skill was not hindrance to enjoying this restaurant. If visiting the yushukan museum or shrine, it's very close & absolutely worth a visit.

We came after 2pm, they only had fried fish set meal left. The fish was all eatable, cooked nicely and crispy. I enjoyed the meal and finished everything.

This restaurant, as its name claims, is all about deep fried horse mackerel. If you gor for lunch, there's the only one combo lunch menu (1,500 yen), so you don't have to think about anything and just order it. It comes with rice, miso soup, and deep fried horse mackerel, and a few small sgarnishes. And, there's a Sashimi option to add for 500 yen, too. Decent quality, but I'd at least expect a bigger portion of deep fried horse mackerel served on the dish, considering the price.
